Re: Redskins 3rd string qb next season?
Here's the guy
Daivd Greene Comment: Greene is extremely smart and has excellent intangibles. He is a lefthander who had a very successful major-college career. He generally makes good decisions and can pick up an offense quickly. He shows good short and intermediate touch and accuracy. Greene has some developmental tools, but he has average arm strength and athleticism. He needs game reps. He doesn't show consistent zip on deep outs and curls. He doesn't change directions or show a lot of elusiveness in the pocket. He won't scramble or make many plays on the move. He can be a streaky passer.

Re: Redskins 3rd string qb next season?
As a Gator fan, I watch a ton of SEC football. Woodson can move. He's not an option style QB, but he's a pocket passer who can run. Not blazing fast, but not lead footed either- his low 40 time at the combine was 4.72. Jason Campbell? Well his low 40 time at the combine was, get this, 4.72.

Re: Redskins 3rd string qb next season?
I would say maybe draft Josh Johnson but the guy threw WAY to many interceptions last year.

Re: Redskins 3rd string qb next season?
Glad to see some fellow SEC fans here. I bleed UT Orange as well as Burgudy. Their are some very good QB's in the SEC. The best still being in Gainesville at the moment. Having said that, I would personally like to see Eric Ainge taken by the Skins in one of the later rounds. I think he has a ton of talent and with Zorn as a tutor in a couple of years he would be a very good back up.
As a side bar comment to GMScud. Yes I am a big UT fan but have ties to Gainesville. |

Re: Redskins 3rd string qb next season?
Lol, actually heres what happened. Professional career [edit] Washington Redskins The Washington Redskins drafted Palmer in the sixth round of the 2007 NFL Draft with the 205 pick overall. On August 4, 2007, the Redskins played the Baltimore Ravens in a scrimmage in Baltimore. Their only score of the scrimmage was on a 24-yard TD pass from Palmer to rookie WR Burl Toler. On September 2, 2007, the Redskins waived Palmer along with others in order to get their roster to the league requirement. [edit] Arizona Rattlers On November 6, 2007, Palmer signed a contract with the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League for the 2007 season. [edit] Cincinnati Bengals On January 30, 2008, Palmer signed a two-year contract with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Re: Redskins 3rd string qb next season?
Bet we get an old guy who knows WCO. I'm a believer in Collins at #2 but he has followed Saunders his whole career. Zorn is going to want a backup just in case Collins falls on his face with the WCO... Bet its Dilfer, or whose the #3 in Seattle? I bet Booty goes to Green Bay if Favre really retires. then they will get an old man to back up Rodgers... oh yeah... Redskins forum. Sorry.

If we draft our 3rd stringer I like Kevin O'Connell,Colt Brennan,John David Booty or Bernard Morris.Fa though I'm leaning towards Joey Harrington,Ryan Fitzpatrick or Brian St.Pierre.

Re: Redskins 3rd string qb next season?
I actually heard on 980 about a week ago that Zorn said their definitly going to draft a young prospect.
If not, I heard Dilfer is a possibility. |

Re: Redskins 3rd string qb next season?
Stay with 2 QB's only but keep a young prospect on the practice squad. Use the extra spot for linebacker or O-line depth. I'm semi-serious. Randle-El could be the emergency #3 QB should Campbell and Collins go down.

I like that idea up until we actually lose Campbell and Collins to injury in the same game. What the hell, LETS DO IT! |
