Re: Pacman Jones Suspended Indefinately

I dont get why hes still suspended, what second chance did he blow? Yea he got arreseted six times since being drafted, but the most recent thign was the fact that he was seen at a strip club. who cares if NFL players or anyone else goes to a strip club, assuming he istn still shooting people there!

The thign in vegas was uncalled for, but going and not causing trouble shouldnt be held against him

Re: Pacman Jones Suspended Indefinately

As someone who lives 20 miles from Nashville, I have seen that Pac just gets a bad rep...Yes he is very immature and Dumb but it almost seems as if Pac is too big for such a small town. Anywhere in Nashville area Pac goes some thing goes down. It is like a big hype since there is nothing bigger than to see and talk to a good football player. He also invites it as he is always out and about town and too easily accessible. I think this is symtomatic of most of todays youth. It is no longer enough to make it in the NFL and make millions of dollars if you don't flash it around and let everyone know you made it. I think he should be given another chance and he should go to another city and team to start fresh as here he will be what he was!!

Just my opinion!

This is way beyond troubled youth. The guy has lost his right to play IMO. If you read this article on Jerramy Stevens, then I think you'll get an idea of what happens to players who get one to many chances. This isn't a few speeding tickets that Pacman has gotten himself into. Personally I woulndn't wish Pacman Jones on anybody, not even the Cowboys.

Re: Pacman Jones Suspended Indefinately

when has this behavior become acceptable? I can not believe some of the stuff I have heard in the last couple of posts. Arrested 6 times since being drafted - but it shouldn't be held against him, getting a bad rap?? Are you serious. The kid is a complete dumb ass. If you got arrested once, or twice for the stupid shit he does would you even have a job?? I wouldn't. My employer holds us up to a standard of living that does not deface the company I work for. This jackass should be suspended for 2 years, or longer. All he has to do is stay home, stay out of trouble and he's back making millions. He can't even do that. He has been arrested 6 times, that we know of, plus that does not include the run ins where nothing was reported. People to stick up for this jackass really need to look at themselves. He was directly responsible for a guys being paralyzed. He hit a women and beat up a stripper. I dont know off the top of my head what else, but a guy involved in a shooting leaving a guy paralyzed, beating up a stripper because she grabbed money that you threw on the stage (isn't that how normal strip clubs operate?) biting an officer was another one, smacking some other chick - the guy is a complete idiot, he doesn't deserve the NFL.

Re: Pacman Jones Suspended Indefinately

In addition, his latest infraction came about AFTER he was specifically instructed not to go to strip clubs by the Commissioner. Agree or disagree as to whether it was appropriate - fine. But, if your boss says don't do this or it will reflect badly on the company, and then you go out and do it - expect to be disciplined.

Poor, poor pitiful big shot. Everyone is persecuting him. He did nothing to bring it on himself.

Bullsh**!!!

Re: Pacman Jones Suspended Indefinately

Look I know this guy is an ass, but if you see it as we do here than things would be different. He was arrested in Rutherford county Tn for being in a club where everbody rushed to get a autograph and to talk to an nfl player. There was then a scene started and the police was called out and then Pac arrested... The news was that Pac did this and did that. Pac did nothing and was later after a court hearing was cleared... This is one of the 6 arrest you mentioned before. Hey this guy is dumb give me millions and an NFL career and I have everything I would need to have my family and friends set up for life...no need to go to club. But as far as his punishment, there have been other who have done worse like drug charges and gun charges and prison time and still was not given the punishment this guy has gotten. Give him enough rope to either hang himself or help him climb the mountain!

Hey I grew up in a not so great part of Miami and I don't act that way but I can see where trouble can find you. Even Sean Taylor who lived in a great area of Miami could not escape. He just needs to stop helping out.

Nice!
......the rules is the rules!
Part of the problem with our world is lack of this understanding, and the lack of respect for...........the rules.
Pacman TOTALLY deserves what he is getting

Um, playing football isn't a right. This jackass needs to toe the line or he can see his way into the CFL or Arena League. If your boss let's you keep your job after numerous infractions and as a condition asks you to avoid "weather producing locations" (make it rain Pacman) such as strip clubs then do it. If you need to see the booty so much, have it sent to your house.

Re: Pacman Jones Suspended Indefinately

CFL has a rule now that if a player is suspended in another league... he can't play there.
Thank you Lawrence Phillips.

While I do not have a copy of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, I am confident that the language is built such to give the Commissioner some punitive latitude to prevent this type of conduct. Naturally, in addition to his legal issues (which are substantial), does he reflect negatively on the NFL.
Commissioner=Boss
Boss=rule maker
and.............the rules is the rules

until everyone goes, lawyer up

This brings something to mind when was the last time a Cowboy got arrested? I remember the good old days when Dallas couldn't go a month without police involvement.
