Click the link....

Jim Zorn Is The Next Head Coach
"Just got off the phone with sources with knowledge of the situation. Zrn is the next head coach. He spent a lot of time with Vinny Cerrato and Dan Snyder the past two days, team sources said, and the brass "fell in love with him." A press conference should come Monday."

And NFL Network is running it across the bottom of the screen confirmed by the Associated Press.

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Multiple Sources Confirm Jim Zorn Named Head Coach

My bad! JLC updated this quickly, went from possibility to "next head coach."

Man, I'm kinda excited. The only thing I don't like about this is Zorn's seattle ties. Big difference between Seattle & DC. I hope he isn't looking to take over the hawks when Mora Jr. flails in a couple years. I would love, as I believe most of us would, for our head coach to make a name here over the next 5-10 years. Zorn is the right age for that to happen if he can have some early success.

I just saw it go over the NFL Netowrk ticker. If this is true I'm not sure what to think.

Well, if this is true, this is the most F'd up coaching search I've ever seen. A nobody QB coach becomes the HC of our proud franchise! If it is indeed true, I guess we have to line up behind him. Maybe crazy wins.

Well, like I said, Hasselbeck has raved about him and hes been under Holmgren, a great one, for 7 years....

Well I have to say another surprise HC. I would have never seen this one coming. I'm just glad this whole HC search is over. Interested to see who turns out being the Zorn replacement at the OC job..?

Of course, he's never called a play as a pro coach offensively or defensively (he was the utah state OC so that's impressive), but Matt likes him, so, you know, it should work out.

Mike, I'll give you props on the idea! That would be crazy if it ended up that way.

I hope we're stickin w/him long term & vice-versa. I'm waiting for all the Zorn paraphenalia to come out!

Unbelieveable......is there any way at all to remove an Owner other than us all throwing in cash for a Soprano's moment?

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Multiple Sources Confirm Jim Zorn Named Head Coach

what does anyone think about Russ Grimm as the offensive coordinator, in the Bramm discussion/article he talks about some issues with the Cardinals over contractual obligations. Seems to me since this would be a lateral move, that the redskins and cardinals would have to work this out in order to get Grimm to run the offense.

Or is this Danny looking to the future & thinking long-term rather than going for the splash?
