Re: I must confess.. I still miss Lavar.
I agree. I dont even like watching him on the Comcast post game shows.
I met him in person once at the Annapolis Mall. He was a jerk when I asked for his autograph. |

I sort of miss him, but that's what happens in sports. Players come and go and we have to move on. EDIT - damn, I didn't realize how old this thread was. Why is it still here?

Re: I must confess.. I still miss Lavar.
I dont like watching him on Comcast either. The first time he came on the show he wore some ridiculous old school suit and acted like a idot. Ever other legit person on the show (not including Chic Hernandez) looked annoyed with him. He's gotten better but still isnt cut out for media.
I miss the guy too, andwould love to see him back in B&G |

I don't live in the Maryland/Nova/DC area anymore, but I've heard that he's anti Redskins in the Comcast show. Is that true?

Lavar nothing!!!!!! You know who I miss? Ken Harvey!!!!! Yeah Ken Harvey. That guy was everywhere!!!!!!! Forget Lavar, his knee is shot, he is toast. Ken Harvey isn't going to come back either, but as the President of the Skin Alumni Assoc, he never really left. Don't get me wrong Lavar rocked, but like the guys said his knee is toast and so is his career. Might as well talk about Sam Huff as well. Great bunch of guys, but they are either retired or about to retire. WE just need to maybe draft one more LB and hope Rocky is OK in '09. Blades is doing a good job. He is not Ken Harvey or Lavar, but he might be a good one still. Rocky is going to be very good if he can come back healthy. |

speaking of rocky... i'm still miffed we didn't sit on our pick that year and draft richard marshall (CB). he's been a beast in carolina :/. The least we could have done is trade up high enough for d ryans (texans lb). oh well.

Re: I must confess.. I still miss Lavar.
since this is a lavar thread, i feel obligated to chime in. To no ones surprise I do miss the guy. he was the face of our frachise for the better part of 6 years. I dont think he lived up to his hype coming out of college, but when healthy he could make a ton of plays for us. He was one of the most gifted linebackers coming out of college since LT, hinse the reason everyone put the #56 on his back before inking any contract. As far as him playing again, I dont know. I dont think he would be an everydown guy, maybe a situational rusher. if he gets back to being healthy who knows. Guys have comeback to have productive careers when having injuries like he did. I would certainly welcome him back.
