Oh man, I can only imagine. I for one avoid all the major sports media outlets for a few days after the Skins lose. I bet being in Bristol can make you nauseous at times. Although after a nice win you probably go into work with bells on.

I read JLC's blog, but it's also obvious that the guy really detests Danny Snyder (rightly or wrongly), he had a little incident with Gibbs at a press conference, and he seems to get a little emotional about the team. He grew up a Ravens fan and doesn't particularly care for the organization. I'm not saying we should disregard what he has to say, because oftentimes it is fairly informative and interesting. I'm just saying that you should know where he is coming from (just as you know should know that I've got a pro-Redskins bias).

Re: Guest Blog From the Insider (good read)

I will admit that I am probably optimistic to the point to where it becomes sickening. Maybe it orginates from witnessing the glory years of this team. When I look at the Washington Redskins, I look at an elite franchise. I see them as the team they were in the 1980's. I realize they have not been that team since the 80's, but that is still how I view this team. Now, I know some of you will say, "but Skinsguy, it's not the 80's anymore, get real! It's 2007, and the Redskins have not returned to glory." However, I look at it like this. A true champion knows how it feels to win, and knows how it feels to lose.

I see my Redskins as the champion franchise they are, going through the pains of knowing how it feels to lose and to be at the bottom. We have already felt victory. I don't like the fact that we have went through so many losing seasons or seasons at 8-8, but I can't help to think that when this team finally gets it right (and believe me, they will,) you won't see a team that takes winning for granted. You'll see a team that will be so afraid to return to the Redskins of the 90's, that they'll keep that fire with in them to keep winning. I guess maybe that's a bit of kool-aid for ya, but in all seriousness, I know this franchise is still a proud franchise. I know Daniel Synder wants to win, and I think he's doing everything he can to get this team back to the Redskins of the 80's. We will get there folks, whether it will be with Joe Gibbs, Gregg Williams, or some other head coach. We will discover how to be great again, and I think once we get there, we'll all be as obnovious as the New England fans...LOL!
