Re: Decent Job Ramsey
That's not bad for Ramsey, but it wasn't very good either.
If we wanted mediocre, we could have kept him around. At least the guy we have now might improve beyond mediocre at some point.

Re: Decent Job Ramsey
Same old Ramsey, it seems to me. The problem with him is NOT that he was so bad that it was just obvious. It's that every now and then he'd fire a tight spiral 30 yards to a wideout, and you'd go--Humm, maybe he'll start to do thata consistently... But he never has, either with us, the Jets, or now, so it seems, the Broncs.
Sage has looked very good down here in Houston--had a great almost comeback where he had tons of 4th quarter points, and looked good against the (woeful) Raiders. Always liked that guy--glad to see he stuck it out, though he'll sit again, I assume, when Schaub returns.

I would take Sage over Ramsey.

Re: edit: [Not So] Decent Job Ramsey
Denver coach is hoping Cutler is back as he was not the happy camper about Ramsey's week

This hatred of Ramsey came about because most Redskins fans were trying to defend Gibbs' absolute lunacy about Brunell. That lunacy has essentially destroyed the Skins, even until now. By the way, check out Ramsey's stats for this year. |

I laughed when I saw this thread for the 1st time...I should have known there would be some looney that still holds to the notion that Ramsey is anything special.

In case you haven't noticed, and judging by the quote I put in bold, you haven't, that was Ramsey's first game this season. And if you feel a guy that has 2 turnovers including one that went for a TD, and had only 1 td...we that sucks. Any player that doubles his turnovers compared to td's is worth nothing. Also, a 76.5 rating is terrible. So what was that you were saying about "check out his stats"? I did...they show that he sucked.

Re: Decent Job Ramsey
FYI- Ramsey has 43 career turnovers in 24 starts / 35 games. He has 37 total tds along with a 75.0 rating. Not impressive.

Re: Decent Job Ramsey
Is this a Patrick Ramsey thread??? But seriously, he'd probably be a decent backup in our offense and is a decade younger than Brunell and Collins. I didn't watch any of that beatdown the Lions dished out, and I have no regrets about that. While Ramsey certainly didn't warrant a 1st rd draft pick, he played hard for us and suffered through that beat down he took under Spurrier in '03. All best to him.

Re: Decent Job Ramsey
My god. We're arguing about Ramsey. Make it die. Noooooooooooooooo. Nooooooooooooooo. (Insert weird going-crazy style music with trippy psychedelic seventies lights. Or not: this is bad-acid-flashback enough, I suppose.)

The little I saw he had pressure in his face constantly, 1 game doesn't mean much, his numbers? Well if those were Campbell's numbers we would have thread after thread saying how he's coming into his own, it was pretty much garbage time in that game. Lets see what happens next week if he gets the start? Gibbs and Lunacy? I couldn't agree more, the ship is sinking and Captain Quigg is at the wheel, or should I say old yellow stain? |
