Re: Carlos Rogers Done For The Year
He's starting for someone now. I can't remember who it was but his name was called several times during the game I was watching

Kinda wished we had gotten a CB in the middle rounds of the draft this year as I had originally hoped. But ah well.

Going to be one of those, guys, IMO. I doubt they pick up a vet, unless there's someone out there who's already a GW guy that we missed.

Re: Carlos Rogers Done For The Year
I still am having a hard time understanding why Leigh Torrence is currently the #3 CB. Macklin has looked solid thus far (in the limited action that he has seen) and Torrence was getting beat consistently yesterday.

Re: Carlos Rogers Done For The Year
Auburn Curse? So far 3 of the 4 athletes taken in the first round of the 2005 NFL draft are out for the season. Cadilac Williams, Ronnie Brown, and now Carlos Rogers. What's next, Jason Campbell? Let's Hope not.

Re: Carlos Rogers Done For The Year
Are you trying to jinx this team or something? Honestly, we don't need any more help with obtaining injuries.

Re: Carlos Rogers Done For The Year
This f'n sucks to the max, he was actually playing great this season and now he might not even be at full strength next season. This is actually a considerable blow to our secondary, I just hope Smoot returns to full strength soon.

sorry to hear that he out for the year. But lets be real he stunk anyway. We can lose with him and we can lose without him.

Re: Carlos Rogers Done For The Year
A sprained MCL but a "significant" injury to the ACL. That's bad. If that is in fact a tear, he won't be 100% ready for the start of the year. He plays the defensive position that requires the most cutting, starting and stopping, and speed. This is bad for Carlos and bad for us. Bad.

Re: Carlos Rogers Done For The Year
I was highly critical of Rogers last year. But he was looking solid this year. I only recall Rogers being involved in two bad plays (the missed tackles on Plaxico Burress and the GB TE). That's pretty damn good for a corner.

Re: Carlos Rogers Done For The Year
This is terrible news but I think we can handle this better than losing other players on Defense. I like Rogers and thought he was putting forth a very good effort but I think we've got the depth to overcome this loss. Damn crazy year for us with the injuries, especially how we were remarking how fortunate we were earlier this season.
Was there an injury clause in the TMC/hessy wager concerning Roger's INT total?

Re: Carlos Rogers Done For The Year
I am begining to wonder whether or not some of you are watching the same Carlos Rogers I am on the Field. He is a terrible Deep Cover Corner and an Average at Best Nickle corner. Opposing teams have targeted him since we drafted him. Must we forget the attempted shoulder tackle on a TE that was flying down the Middle of the Field against Green Bay? Or the NUmerous misreads and flatout burns this season? (Philly, Arizona, Giants). I have lost patience with Carlos. I look at this Injury in the same light as if we traded him for an untested Rookie. carlos has had his day and the sun many a game and has dried up like a raisin. Its time for Lee Torrence to show us what he can do.
