solid #2 in all likelyhood. i just don't see him turning into a shutdown corner playing 12 yards off the line.

Re: Serious Question:Well Roger Be a Great CB for us?..
My problem with Rogers is incosistency. I think he needs to be a physical corner, but he doesn't do it. He lines up way off the ball, whether it's scheme or not, it's not working for him. I wish he would hold on to more of the picks too, but if he did, that wouldn't take away from him getting torched. He gets beat deep too much for my liking. If he can somehow rein that in, I think he'll be very good. The guy seems to me like he has all the ability in the world at the CB position, he just hasn't reached his potential yet. So, in short: Yes, he will be a great corner for the Skins. However, it certainly hasn't happened yet, but I think he could put it all together this year.

Re: Serious Question:Well Roger Be a Great CB for us?..
Rogers is still mediocre at best until he proves otherwise. In my opinion, when he is ON he is an above average #2 CB in this league. When he is in a rut though, i think he would struggle to make many teams' #3 spot. I agree with whoever said that he looks much better with Springs on the field. However, springs is likely going to be gone after this year and we are going to need a #1 CB and if the theory that Rogers can only play well with springs on the field is correct, we are going to need a #2 CB too. Hopefully smoot can step it up and we can draft somebody.

If he could just catch the balls that hit his hands he would be really good! I think Rogers is ready to step up this year getting Smoot back is going to help his confidence grow a lot.

Re: Serious Question:Well Roger Be a Great CB for us?..
I don't know how we're defining great here, but if he caught most of the INT's he dropped last year he could have drawn pro-bowl consideration. He's a physical corner who tackles very well, but I worry about him in man coverage. I think if he's going to have a breakout here, this season is the perfect time. He's got so much more help back there this year.
I was looking at the schools our top 5 d-backs went to: Auburn The U Miss St Ohio St LSU. Three SEC schools, The U, and Ohio St. Not bad.

Re: Serious Question:Well Roger Be a Great CB for us?..
carlos's best attribute is his tackling. so far he hasnt proven he can cover a fucking dead body. i bet he would give a guy in a wheel chair a 10 yard cushion. i hope he plays better than that highlight film had, half those plays where questionable PI's. this guy has a freaking 5 game audition this year and if he conisistantly gets thrown at and beat like his first two years then i hope gwill sits his ass because thats what he deserves. now with all that being said i really like the way carlos looks so far, he looks more confident and i hope that he lives up to that 9th overall draft pick that we took him with. so i am rooting for him but i have a short leash and all of us should including GWILL

This will be the season Carlos will show where he is headed career wise. I think he will be a solid guy for us, but not like Champ or even Smooty I. If he does turn out to be like Smoot I we will rock the house now that Landry is on board.

I think Carlos Rogers has shown some significant improvement so far this year.
That is a good sign...i was expecting Smoot to try to steal his job...so far....it aint even close. We have to hope Rogers continues to improve. He seems that he will be solid so far
