Re: F...Political Discussion on a Football Board!

Personally I love the off-topic forums. We all have one thing in common, we're all huge skins fans (besides those few loyal members who are 'boys and giants fans. I respect all of those posters immensely). The off-topic threads allow us to see what a large cross-section of American people feel. Lately, I really feel like the political discussions have gone over great and relatively free of drama.

Probably me, because I spend all my time in the Locker Room and Draft Fourm.

I'm going to *zing* myself here.

what a great quote. i really enjoy the political thing. one of the main reasons is that the threads i have seen have remained civil. and its amazing to me how some see the glass half full....

Actually my purpose for this thread was to lighten things up a bit as it seemed to have become very tense around here lately. Only two more weeks and we will have us some football to talk about!!!

Hail!

As for the "Liberal Warpath" I think that's a stretch. Matty is obviously a died in the wool leftist who often feigns moderation. Pretty sneaky. As King Mod you would like more of a Geoge Washington figure, beyond party politics, but SS is an avowed Republican (albeit in the Rockefeller sense of the term -at best) and he serves kind of the Hamilton role. The real power behind the throne. So it all balances out. I think its all balanced.

I know I'm leving a lot of people out including myself, but I mostly just eff around. The Redskins are the only really important issue to me.
If I'm serving a Hamiltonian role...who's my Aaron Burr?

Can I be the apathetic masses. If not, that's okay, I don't really care anyway.

I volunteer TMC to be the quirky comic relief.

As a libertarian I resent being grouped with the crazy cooks on the left

I would do it, but I am not enough of a womanizer.

This reminds me, "Burr" by Gore Vidal is a great, great book. I find his conspiracy theories laughable and he's kind of creepy, but his series of historical novels are fantastic.

Clarification: I LOVE woman, but not in the same quantity as our second V.P. Saying I wasn't a womanizer and the talking about Gore Vidal could have sent the wrong message.

So basically I'd be Benjamin Franklin stumbling in drunk, strapped and with a beyotch in each arm?

Basically. But is that such a horrible way to live? I mean hell, isn't that the American dream right there?

But whoever ends up being Thomas Jefferson gets to have me as their Sally Hemmings.

Re: F...Political Discussion on a Football Board!

SmootSmack (In the McCain Pariah Thread) wished he could bring back the F Political Threads thread. So I bumped it, out of the pure love in my heart.

Re: F...Political Discussion on a Football Board!

Ah, I missed this the first time round. Hell, I've been having some of the best political discussions here, rather than at any political site. And it is a fair balance of liberals to conservatives, I think.

I am James Madison, only taller. My wife (Dolly) likes McCain, but that is her only flaw.
