The biggest phonies are Eagles, Cowboys, Giants, and Ravens fans. Those guys only conveniently decide to start liking football when their team is doing well.

Not in 2007. They look good on paper, but so do most teams.

Getting Joe Thomas and Brady Quinn is something they only thought about in their wettest of dreams. But they also got a good DB in Eric Wright (UNLV), and I've heard good things about DE Melila Purcell (Hawaii).
Add to the draft, they signed RB Jamal Lewis, and OL Eric Steinbach and they are looking good. They most certainly upgraded at a lot of positions, and should easily see close to a .500 season this year.

To me there are only 3 teams with die hard fans, by die hard, I mean their persona is wrapped up in their fans. That's of course, Washington, Green Bay, and Cleveland. It's good to see Cleveland making a game of it again.
I would like to share your view but i just cant, when you are a bad team year after year its not a good idea to give up next years first round pick to take a QB, even if its Brady Quinn. They definately picked up some good players but I just dont see them doing anything this year, there defense is pretty suspect. They didnt give Charlie Frye enough of a chance, and they refused to play Lee Suggs when he was actually healthy, what a waste. LaCharles Bently is DONE, his knee has fallen apart and will most likely retire, thats pretty sad because he was one hell of a player. Brady Quinn was a good QB, but never really had the ability to take over a game and really rode the hype train all the way through college, much the same way as Joey Harrington so beware. Jamal Lewis has been horrible since he went to prison, and that was running behind Jonathan Ogden. There team is just to inconsistent and just not talented enough to do anything this year or even next year for that matter, I still cant believe they passed on Adrian Peterson, Joe Thomas is good but so was Robert Gallary.

Well, you and giantssuck seem to agree...but I just have a hunch they will come near or be .500 this year. They are well coached, and showed great improvement last year on D. If they can show the same improvement on O, then they will easily be .500.

They just haven't been anything good since coming into the league. Even though they kept the name, they are an expansion team. The Cards just flat out suck...no comparison...they are the laughing stock of the NFL. I'm calling it...the Browns are turning it around with this year's draft. They drafted 3 pro bowlers this year!

I went to one game at Arrowhead back in the mid 90's. We played KC when Gus was our QB. It was an experience that I will never ever forget. Total college atmosphere. The only thing I could compare it to was RFK. The fans are about as crazy as any place I have ever seen. I could not even hear myself think.

I will say this. Fed Ex is a terrible stadium. It's not like the old days. Way to corporate and way to much of a wine and cheese crowd. RFK was a true home field advantage. It was a shithole but I miss that shithole!

Eagles fans are simply the worst. No class at all. But I respect Giants fans. They are good loyal smart NFL fans.

Crazy but true, I have friends that are Cowboys fans and Giants fans, but never have I ever met an Eagles fan that was level headed enough to allow into my company as even an associate.

Giving up next years #1 was just a reach. And of all people they gave it to Dallas. I would have went with Derrick Anderson and drafted a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Eagles fans are absolutely horrible. I can't stand most Cowboys fans, they are annoying. Giants fans I can deal with.

I agree with you on this topic. I do think that Cleveland has been putting together a nice young team. They have young players at the skilled positions (Edwards, Winslow, and now Quinn). They seem to be getting there deffense on the same page. It will take a little bit of time but they are on the right path, IMO.

Hopefully for their sake they will give ol' Romeo enough time to put things in order...

Yeah, I am a little disappointed to hear Romeo is on the hot seat. He did revive a HORRIBLE D, he needs some time to turn around a ship that is going in completely the opposite direction.
