Hopefully they will put this animal where he belongs! The BIG HOUSE!

Then he'll be BUBBA'S little bitch, and get the same treatment!

Come on now boys, what do you expect? The bar for big time football players' conduct was lowered a while back, when the universities let in the thugs via football scholarships when college football became totally corrupted with the big $$$$$$$ in the late 70's -early 80's. Being from the Detroit area, I remember how not too long ago the U of M football team was up there with Fla St, for the most felons on thier football squad. These college guys are given everything on a silver platter cars, clothes, chicks, etc for just running a 4.3 40yd dash. They can do anything on campus and if they get busted they just get slapped on the wrist. A felon should not be playing college football, let alone in the NFL, but in the name of big money standards have been thrown out the window.

I personally don't think it's fair to generalize against a whole group. Maybe I should pull out some excerpts from the article I posted.

Quote:
According to reports, as many as 40-50 NFL players have been arrested since the beginning of 2006, a figure that would essentially make up the entire roster of one team.

The Bengals lead the NFL with nine. The number of DWIs is approaching the number of PATs; the official team photo has become the mug shot. But do the actions of 3% unfairly indict the other 97%?

"You would think that 48 out of the 53 guys on the rosters are thugs and menaces to society," Pete Kendall, the Jets player rep, said from the NFLPA meetings last week in Hawaii. "That is definitely not the case. There is certainly an abundance of negative press about our players. But our union is not talking about digging our feet in and being obstinate. There is recognition there is a problem."

Incidentally, here is what Joe Gibbs had to say in response to Commissioner Goodell's efforts to crack down on player misconduct:

"He's right; it's a big deal," Washington Redskins coach Joe Gibbs said. "To be truthful, I think people are tired of getting up in the morning and reading about it in the papers. (The new policy) has got to be strong. (Arrests) cast everybody in a bad light. And generally, if you give a guy three shots, he's going to take two of them."

Generalizations? How many(what percentage of) college football players from Div 1A schools do you think could make it to college without those scholarships and on pure brain power? The universities coddle them, give them lame majors(usually Phys Ed or Communications) and slap them on the wrist if they break the law or team rules. Remember several seasons back when Univ of Mich's star DB was busted for breaking a beer bottle over some poor Arabic grad student's head at a party just before the season began? What did he get even when found guilty? A one game suspension. When you let guys get away with stuff like that it sinks in that they are special and can get away with stuff in the future.

I'm just saying the NFL is not filled with drug addicts and thugs. When someone says Cincinatti Bengals the automatic assumption these days is "Thugs" But is that fair to guys like Carson Palmer, Rudi Johnson, Kenny Watson, even Chad Johnson?

Before there is any talk of banning this player from the league, I think there are some important questions to be asked.

How large is his sig?

Let the justice system play out before we go bashing the guy. The Michael Vick airport story was a joke. But if this is true that's pretty bad stuff.
