I would have been much happier if i hadn't picked them to go two rounds to the sweet 16.
Last night a friend of mine from VCU came to CP and it was that much better to have a VCU fan here. GO TERPS!!!!!!! |

Excellent. What pisses me off the most about Duke (as well as the Yankees, etc.) is that their fan base is all over the map. Why? Because they've been good for so many years and everyone jumps on the bandwagon.
Who do I want to win the tournament? ANY VIRGINIA TEAM.

Well Malcolm I would actually disagree. The yankees have folks on a banwagon definitely but in my travels I have been VILLIFIED for being a Duke fan. It really pisses me off sometimes because sometimes folks will question me being a Duke fan because I'm black. I really rip guys a new one because of that. Back to my point, it's seems to me that it's more people that hop on the Anti-Duke bandwagon more so than anything else. I became a Duke fan by accident and I have been one since the thrashing by UNLV !
I can sympathize with the kid crying though. To him sports is EVERYTHING, and his favorite team lost that day. I cried a couple times as a kid when the Skins lost, never when Duke lost but the Skins yeah. The dad is probably pissed because he knows all the guys at work would say they saw him and his kid at the game, he'd be on SportsCenter holding the crying little boy.

anyone that actually sheds tears (other than the players) needs to find a few more things they enjoy other than sports, kids or adults.
i love sports and i've been upset a few times when my favorite teams have lost but i have never been anywhere close to crying.
