Guess you're too young to remember Super Bowl XVIII. That was painful. I think that if the Redskins had won that Super Bowl that team would have gone down as maybe one of the best in NFL history. Two losses by a combined 2 points. Over 500 points scored. Plus 43 turnover ratio.

NBA: Wizards (though i like them better when they're winning), liked rooting for the pistons in the playoffs, but i don't follow them...
NCAA: don't watch a lot, like the terps and betting on sweet sixteen/playoff games...
NHL: stingy defensive play kills excitement... i watched the last set though, and that wasn't too bad (offensive teams, probably best hockey postseason i've seen (i'm not so old ))
MLB: WAY too boring, don't know what else to say, i just can't watch it

There are other sports???

NHL: Caps
MLB: Not a big fan, but I usually root for the O's and the Cardinals (lived in St. Louis for a while in the early-mid 80's....saw the Skins beat the football Cardinals there a couple times!) Will support the DC team if/when we get one.
NBA: Not really into it, but I'd root for the Wizards if they didn't suck.
NCAA: Not real big into it, but go Terps!

Yeah I wasent even around for that, I was born in 85'. I dont remember the 87' win, but I do still recall vaguley the 92 Super Bowl win. I still have some Newspaper clippings from around here ( Buffalo Area ) where they did a daily matchup of positions of the two teams.

sweet, another Padres fan how do u like how the team is performing this year? I think they can stay in contention especially since they r playing extremely well on the road, but only so so at home. I'm glad to finally see Nevin heating up and greene has played pretty well, but the guy who gets no love from the media is Loretta. He has done a hell of a job since coming to the team last year. And how about Peavy? its good to see him pitching again. It does kinda suck to see how well Perez is pitching in Pittsburgh but I think giles was well worth it don't u?

NFL: redskins, lewis & lewis when they're making/breaking tackles, Vick and KC offense/dante hall
NBA: catch a few of the wizard games, watch the championships... limited interest, hate the soap opera that is the lakers, hopefully that's over now...
NHL: don't really follow it, sometimes look up caps scores...
MLB: can't stand it, its soo slow...
NASCAR: have a brother who won't shut up about it, dale fan i think, but he keeps track of everyone...

I like the Padres chances if they can stop the Giants. It is for sure they have to win there division with the Central being so strong. Hopefully the pitching stay good.

NFL - Redskins of course, dad grew up in VA, so that how all the way in NM, in Dallas country, I became a Skins fan.

MLB - Yankees, actually saw a game at Yankee Stadium.

NCAA - NMSU, hey we do pretty good in men's and women's b ball, and our football team always sucks, but hey I love live games.

NHL - Avalanche, my AVs obsession rivals my Redskin obsession.

NBA - don't really care.

As far as soccer goes, gotta love the US team from 02, down here, when we beat Mexico, people down in Juarez were crying on the streets and there were some small roits, bout time we get some International respect!

Big C: We fielded our under 23 team (No Reyna, Nor McBride, No Fridel or Keller, etc.) in olympic qualifying. Still, it was us or Mexico, and the game was played in a very tough stadium in Mexico, with a very hostile crowd. They booed the national anthem and shouted "osama, osama" during the game. Mexico also fielded an under 23 squad, I think.

PS We beat Mexico a few months ago in Dallas as a warm up to World Cup qualifying. Both teams had pretty much their full sides, and we dominated play, winning 1-0. Should have been more. When Bruce Arena coaches and Reyna plays, we're still pretty good.

So I think we'll be pretty strong again in 2006, though 2002 may be tough to beat, especially the Mexico game.
