I thought we'd just get one and then a depth guy (like reche caldwell or some such) to round out the bunch. it's a killer to miss on big money guys though. draft busts (outside the top 5) aren't expensive mistakes. yeah you miss on adding talent, but you're only out a draft pick. |

Re: Hall to be replaced?
They just reported on Comcast sportsnet, that Novak is in MD, and he will workout for the Skins noon tomorrow.

Re: Hall to be replaced?
Here is why I love Novak: one constant in football is, when a kicker nails a gamewinning kick, either in OT or at the end of regulation, and said kick is nulled because of penalty, he always, ALWAYS, misses the second try (unless he missed the first try, then he will usually make the second attempt). Novak nailed two game winners in a row against Seattle last year, defying everything I thought I knew about the laws of football! Good for him!

Re: Hall to be replaced?
id rather have novak than peterson. seeing peterson's last year state he didnt even attempt a kick over 50 and only tried 4 kicks over 40 yards. we already know hall can hit under 40 yard field goals, we need a guy with a bigger leg, especially for kickoffs

I think JG was convinced Hall was reasonably healthy and was going to be able to make it through the season. However, the time has come when we have to look in a different direction due to the consistency of his nagging injuries. Hall is a veteran kicker and very good when healthy. We know how much JG likes a vet at that position that's why he continued to give him the benefit of the doubt. |

Re: Hall to be replaced?
I think Peterson is the replacement if anyone due to his experience and we all know JG and his veteran fetish.

Re: Hall to be replaced?
Yes! But we do have newcomers and the statement is as true as it's ever been, rest assured it's not for some of the stepford hogs.

Re: Hall to be replaced?
i think its time to be done with hall once and for all. I said after the minnesota game that we need to look at kickers. Another overpaid free agent. Thats all hall is. thanks danny

Re: Hall to be replaced?
I'm getting REALLY SICK! of Hall always getting hurt. THey rely on this guy every year, and it seems like most of the time, he's not reliable when it comes to his health. The last thing this team needs right now is not knowing how the kicking game is going to pan out. Ya know, ya just get tired of seeing this stuff every stinking year!!!!!

Re: Hall to be replaced?
I have to say, Im a bit pissed. Last year when Hall was hurt, and Novak was our kicker, everyone was jumping on that bandwangon and was all about him, and I was just not impressed, and obviously neither is anyone in the NFL, and for us to have to bring him in midseason for a second straight year sets my blood a boiling. I loved Hall, he is consistent, and used to be able to hit fg's from a fairly good distance, but he's hurt AGAIN...and from WHAT...fatigue..are you kidding....you're a f'ing NFL kicker, if you're fatigued by the fifth week you should find another proffession....if we don't bring someone in this next offseason Ill shit my pants.....
(I tried to find a shit-my-pants smilie, but none exists... someone should really get on that)

Re: Hall to be replaced?
Yes, that's right. And answer me this. Isn't there extensive stretching exercises for the kicker's leg and groin areas they utilize to MAKE SURE they don't pull hammys, groins, muscles, whatever....and hot could this produce "a tired leg' that we've know been told about!!!!!!! I't just sooooo frustrating to hear Hall's going down again.
