Re: Brunell's pulled groin??

Easy solution:

1. Campbell
2. Brunell
3. That ex-Chiefs guy.

There, all sorted.

But let me tell you one thing, if our season depends on Brunell we're done.[/quote]

I think Gibbs should sit him out the rest of pre-season. Why play?
If there is even the possibility that this is an issue, Brunell should sit out the remainder of preseason. He knows how to be ready at this point. No sense in risking anything with him!

Look, I'm sorry, but every time I say Todd Co...urgh, there we go again. I just threw up a little.

As I was saying "The ex-Chiefs guy".....

I hear what you're saying. But our timing with WRs has been less than stellar. I think we need to nip that in the bud before sitting Brunell down.

OR ...we can just sit him down for good and let campbell start...i was listening to the riggins show and he seems to think that with our defense...we have the same shot with campbell in there....i seriously think brunell was awesome last year but i would much rather see mr Campbell in there!!!!

Re: Brunell's pulled groin??

Don't piss on Collins. He looked HORRIBLE in that first game where all our 2nd team DBs looked horrible too. But did you notice the last game? He seemed to be under pressure a lot, but when he was he always got the ball away to someone who was open. His only really bad throw happened when he had plenty of time. To me, this indicates he's battling a case of the nerves, which he should be able to work out with some more snaps.

He also seemed to quickly find the open receiver. Yeah, Ortega's defender fell down, but Collins saw it. I can't imagine all his throws were to his #1 targets.

Furthermore, I can't imagine this coaching staff getting someone (whose abilities they know) who ends up being as bad as he seemed that first game. Remember, Brunell of 2004 came before Brunell of 2005.

I'll be in the corner, drooling and rocking slowly until someone gives the all clear on Brunell.

Re: Brunell's pulled groin??

It doesn't sound so bad for Brunell according to Gibbs. Of course, he's not going to be specific about the extent of the injury. This is probably another good reason for us to have traded for Duckett. A starting tandem of Duckett and Portis will be extremely beneficial for Campbell if he's put into the starting role. We'll see running 60/40 run/pass ratio if that's the case.

Brunell pulled a groin?

As long as it was his own groin, it's his business.

Frankly, my wife was out of town on Wednesday, and I pulled mine about six times.

Re: Brunell's pulled groin??

are you strictly right handed? and everyone needs to calm down about mark brunell. if he is playing saturday night, then it is only something minor. at this stage in his career he has nothing to prove
