It's not panic.

For the first time in 9 months there's finally something to talk about.

The Skins really need to find 2 or 3 solid guys who can play O-line without a serious drop off in talent. I don't think they have that right now.

Scowan, I agree I O-Line looked horrible - together. Key is they were together. Chances are slim to none that we'll see five second stringers on the field at the same time during regular season. With that being said, even if we have to shufffle players in and out, we'll have at least 3 healthy guys somewhere around them. So I think what we saw, is something we'll never likely to see in when the bullets begin to fly.

I think you just have to hope that Pucillo, Tyson Walter, and maybe this guy Folau will be enough to fill in the gaps should one of the starters get nicked up.

12thMan has a good point, too. If Samuels, Dockery, Rabach, Thomas, and Jansen all go out at the same time for 4 games or more, only then will it be time for all of us to put pistols in our mouths.

Figuratively speaking, of course.

We'll bring in these guys now and try to get them up to speed and see what they can do. My guess is were not done bringing folks in, especially at CB and OL. As for the LBs, Clemons out, Posey in. He's a Williams guy and a vet. Clemons is out, he's been hurt before. Time to move along. When he's healthy, it wouldn't surprise me to see him in a skins uniform again.

PS Injuries are the nature of the game here, people. Having a quality coaching staff should help. These guys are pros at making slik purses out of sows' ears. Or whatever.

what has been said about the playoffs last year was that brunell didn't have it late in the season, but the running game wasn't nearly as effective in those games either. Randy Thomas' injury had a lot to do w/that. one guy hurt on the line makes a big difference if you don't have a quality depth. Take a look at what we did to Flozell Adams' backup last year!!

I think this is an example of why Joe Gibbs hired Al saunders- to leave him free to tinker with the depth and get us straight for the long haul. I believe all of this movement is for one reason - force the toughest competition in camp at as many positions Gibbs can. Competition for depth is a good thing

Kope you are right. Many people might look at all of these moves today as having Vinny or Dan Snyder's finger prints all over them, but I have to think with Al and Greg running the day to day playbooks that it frees Gibbs up to go "shopping" and searching for replacement players or people that can better help fill a position. Taylor Jacobs was the first step and I am sure the whole league is being watched daily by Joe Gibbs. Coach and Team President.

Was Folau any good when he played?

clemons was released to make space while the team figures out who can play. once he's healthy, he'll be back (if no one else signs him). we still have too many OL/CB/RB/DTs running around right now.
