Re: First Ballot Hall of Famers
Hmm.
First ballot is a lofty achievement. Favre Martin Faulk Manning Brady Lewis Strahan Rodney Harrison Tony Gonzalez Adam Vinatieri (I wouldn't vote him in. But Peter King would.) Simeon Rice Derrick Brooks Brian Urlacher John Lynch Will Shields Walter Jones Torry Holt I may have missed/stretched a few, but thats my list.

Peyton Manning Tom Brady Ray Lewis Marvin Harrison I would say these guys above are all first ballot locks. I would also add Faulk, Martin, and Bettis. Not sure if they all will go first ballot, but if I was voting I would put them in. |

Re: First Ballot Hall of Famers
bledsoe as a first ballot? i don't think so. he has numbers but he's not a winner or even great. he's just above average and had good luck staying healthy enough to keep playing.
roaf and shields... if 11 time pro bowlers don't get in, then who does? brady manning (if he wins one) lewis gates moss (randy - if he can get back on track) |

The Hall doesn't typically jump to vote in OL very quickly, so it should be interesting to see what will happen with guys like Roaf and Shields who are very deserving. |

Re: First Ballot Hall of Famers
Sapp is the most overrated player in NFL history. Lynch is a close second.

Re: First Ballot Hall of Famers
Gates definitely has a long way to go.
P. Manning will get in regardless of if he wins a Super Bowl, if he continues to put up the crazy numbers which I'm sure he will. |

those near the end of their playing careers r Martin, Faulk, Roaf, Favre, Derrick Brooks and Ty Law. then if these players keep up their production I see these going in: Tomlinson, Manning, Harrison, E. James, Gonazalez, Portis, Boldin, Fitzgerald, R. Moss, Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor, Strahan, Ed Reed, Brady, Mcnabb, Palmer, Hines Ward, Tory Holt, Gates, Crumpler, Heap, Vinateri, Julius Peppers, and Freeney. a couple coaches that will be first ballot r Belichick and if he wins one more SB Bill Cowher. and I think it's kinda funny while checking the skins page on espn and I looked at the link for Gibbs' approval rating and the skins r already -4 on their turnover margin and camp hasn't even opened yet.

I don't agree with Curtis Martin. If Monk didn't make it first ballot, he shouldn't either. He hasn't won dick. |
