Re: Clinton Portis rushing total 2006
when gardner was here, both he and portis threw option passes, so yeah, you'll still see that.
1400-1700, because betts and rock are going to get a lot of work too. |

Re: Clinton Portis rushing total 2006
I'm in agreement w/ matty on this one. 1500 yards with alot less carries. if he gets enough carries 2000 is not unreasonable but i think gibbs will want to rest him for the postseason.

and this year portis said he was going to get 10 yards per carry, so he'll probably get about 3000 yards |

I'd love to see it, but our WRs are so good now, they'll need to touch the ball too. Of course it's their presence that is going to make CP's job easier with the holes he'll have to run through. Opposing teams' safeties are going to be really busy this year! |

Re: Clinton Portis rushing total 2006
Fellow Skins fans I'm envisioning a complete and utter rout of the Minnesota Vikings on the 11th of September. Man I wish I could be there. I KNOW The Big Jack is going to be insane !!!!!

Re: Clinton Portis rushing total 2006
I think that Portis's numbers will remain right where they were, although I think he will have a better season, if that makes sense. I think his YPC will increase, and his carries are going to go down a little bit. I think that we have so many weapons on offense now, that we dont have to put the game on Portis's back every single week. In addition, I think Ladell Betts and Rock Cartwright both had pretty strong seasons in their limited roles, and I wouldnt be suprised if they got a few extra carreis just to keep Portis fresh.

Re: Clinton Portis rushing total 2006
im glad most people are down to earth and not picking 2000+, but still i think he might get around 1.4 or 1.5k in yards, high powered offense, lots of air attack, etc...i think portis will get that...most people need to realize if he can get more than 1200 yards that is really good for us

I think he will get about 1400. But hopefully my guess is very low!

Re: Clinton Portis rushing total 2006
1400-1700. personally i think that the poll options are too broad. the difference between a 1400 yard rusher and 1700 is pretty big, i think he will get 1500-1600 yards if he can stay healthy...

I just wish that we would've had Saunders a year ago.
