Re: Brian Mitchell on Redskins fans

DC is a destination spot for people. There are many out-of-towners who have moved to work in DC. I would guess the ratio of native DCers to imports is probably WAY higher than in Dallas. Also Dallas was at one point a national team like the Yankee.s They have retreated a bit from that but some of that stills remains. That is the reason why there are many Dallas jrseys at Fedex. There are probably lots at every game the Cowboys play. As for Philly. It is like 3 hours away. Of ocurse there are a lot of diehards who come down just like there are many Skins fans who go there.

I was at the Dallas game. Skins fans outnumbered Dallas fans 20-1

I don't know, I was there and my section was basically all redskins fans. There were three cowboy fans in a group behind me and 1 fan all by himself in the first row. In the first 15 rows of my section I would say there were no more than 6 cowboy fans. Our fans sell out a 90,000 seat stadium at about $100 a ticket and next year it will be a lot more.

And by the way, Dallas is always full of opposing team jerseys.

Re: Brian Mitchell on Redskins fans

I was there and that is a downright falsehood. There were some Cowboys fans there and one tried to fight me. But way less than I've seen in the last 10 years. Crowd was crazy crazy loud as it was 28-0 at the half. At that time we wished em all merry christmas as almost all of them were gone by 3rd quarter kickoff.
Simply untrue statement by BMitch. Maybe under Spurrier, Marty or Norv, but since Gibbs return simply not true!

The stadium was rocking that night. That was such a fun game to be at. You would think a blowout would be boring but really that was more fun than a close game. It was a party the entire night. Our fans were great last year with the exception of raiders and chargers and guess what, those are the two we lost.

Re: Brian Mitchell on Redskins fans

I remember hearing when Gibbs first came back rumors of Brian Mitchell coming here. Was there ever any truth to that and if so maybe something went wrong and caused him to have some anger or bad feelings toward the team. Or maybe they were just rumors not sure just a thought

Considering the skins only win superbowls under republican presidents, you ought to be glad GW is in office.

Re: Brian Mitchell on Redskins fans

this could just be a ploy by b-mitch. he's trying to get under our skin just a bit so that season ticket holders will stop selling to fans of the other teams and only sell to other skins fans. i heard b-mitch talk about that very thing more than once during those post game shows on comcast. b-mitch and nick csaben(sp) both talked about this subject quite frequently.

Good point, Wolf. Mitchell can't be that insanely ignorant unless he's trying some sort of reverse psychology. If he really did mean it then his statement ranks up there with "the earth is flat".

Re: Brian Mitchell on Redskins fans

I think he's just doing his usual thing. Just trying to ruffle some feathers or something. I wasn't at the game but the guy who was going to give me and my sister his tickets said he was taking his grandsons but HE NEVER F*CK*&G USED THEM ! Anyhoo, there was a sprinkle of Cowboy fans there but it wasn't like the game in Dallas. If you watch the clip from that game the crowd erupts when Santana Moss catches those TD passes. Oh yeah, the guy who was sleeping wasn't a fan it was actually Michael Barrow ! I remember when the game was on they showed the "fan" and then about 5 mins later they showed Barrow on the bench sleep ! I was going crazy that day, MAN did I get drunk ! I wish I could show you guys the picture I tool when I went to work looking for Cowboys fans. I wore 4 jerseys, my flag, 2 pennants, 2 hats, and carried around my Redskins snowman for all to enjoy !

HAIL F'N HAIL !!!!

Re: Brian Mitchell on Redskins fans

What Brain should have said was that Cowboy fans were well represented and that simply shouldn't be the case. Yes, the Skins have lots of Corporate and Lobbyist/Politician ticket holders but that Majority of fans in the stands have been and will always be Redskins fans.
