I hope he cleans up his act and becomes one of the greatest Redskins ever in the process, but just becasue he's on the redskins I am not going to sit here and make excuses for his actions. And even when he beats these charges that will not suddenly cleanse him of every thing he's done wrong...he beat that drunk driving case last year...does that mean he did nothing wrong that night either?

Okay...if you don't like the term law obiding adult since he technically has not been convicted of any crimes then change it to Responsible adult...
He beat the DUI charge because he wasn't guilty. And the current charges against him are alledged. Even if we stipulate that he did "waive guns around in public" we still have no context for what happened. Maybe he was justified. I am not defending his actions I simply pointing out that you seem to have decided that he did something wrong when you don't even know what actually happened. None of us do. So don't go making accusations about not obiding laws until you have the facts.
And don't act like you have some moral superiority to decided when someone has done something wrong. I wasn't there the night he was charged with a DUI and I am pretty sure you weren't either so intimating that he did something wrong that night is really judgemental. For all we know he hadn't even had a drink. Don't be judging people so much man.

Chris had 6 TDs this past year (his rookie season). Taylor Jacobs on the other hand has 1 TD in 3 years. Ouch!

Obviously none of us know if Sean taylor actually broke any laws and i am not trying to convict him of anything. What I am saying is that he has shown a pattern of behavior that troubles me as a Redskins fan who wants to see him on the field for a really long time. And why am I so out of line for pointing out that ST acts irresponsibly? Even if Sean did nothing illegal it is still irresponsible for him to put himself in these positions. Sean is in the public eye...he represents the Washington Redskins every time he steps outside his house. When he gets accused of things whether rightly or wrongly it reflects poorly on the Redskins organization. Why is it that ST out of all the players on the redskins is consistently accused of doing something wrong? Look I am not saying he is Charles Manson...and if the reports on this latest incident are true then i don't even think he should do a minute in jail let alone 46 years. But it is not a coincidence that it is Sean Taylor that keeps ending up in these situations. He seems to show poor judgement and he puts himself in a lot of bad situations. Hopefully he will grow out of this behavior becasue I want him to remain on the redskins for a long time.

Maybe an apology is in order after all.

I mean who cares if you make millions, if someone steals your ATV they deserve to die!

Sorry ST.

I am a big WVU fan and knew this guy was going to get into trouble when he went into the NFL. He had Randy Moss ability in college, but was a head case. Every game someone had to be "babysitter". It was rediculous. He would fight with team mates, coaches, got ejected for flipping off fans or something like that. then he wouldn't leave the field, tried to fight some fans on the way out, total thug loser. Its a shame because he has the talent to be one hell of a receiver.

Did you guys hear about Isiah Rider, the former basketball player? He was wanted on kidnapping charges! That's much worse than what either Sean Taylor or Chris Henry did, so I therefore think its appropriate that we apologize to both of them.

Here's a good one: There are many reports that Henry was actually wearing his Bengals jersey when the gun incident occurred! If you look at his mug shot, it looks like that might be true.

Re: Perhaps an apology to Sean Taylor is in order?

I just got back from the Comcast Spotlight sports rally, and Marcus Washington and Shawn Springs were there. I spoke with Marcus about Taylor and he told me that he would definetely be back to play next season.

So that is good news!
