Don't be upset because our boys ruined your Monday night halftime ceremony and embarrassed you guys on national television.
For one I am not upset, that is part of the game. There is always a winner and a loser. Goody for you. You should understand that, even though the Redskins swept Dallas in 2005, the Cowboys have won 17 of the last 20 meetings. But what does that fact have to do with the subject of the thread? Nothing, natta, zip, not a thing.

I just think it is a wee bit premature to be making W-L predictions for a season that does not even have a schedule written for it yet. Nor any free agent gains or losses. And not knowing what off-season moves the opposing teams have done.

There are a lot of unknown and I am not concerned about what moves other teams make. This thread is about the Redskins and whether they'll be good enough to win next year. Our free agent list isn't that big of a concern (most of them are role players, some good, some so-so).

We don't have a 1st round draft pick so you won't see us drafting players that can contribute immediately. The Redskins that play next year will be the same team that played this past season with a little wrinkle here and there and believe me these wrinkles won't have a negative impact. Barring injuries, the Redskins can do no worse than they did this past season.

Sandjack -- the important thing is we're not the team losing critical coaches -- instead we're gaining them.

Do not know which players are coming or going. Don't know who is going to be drafted. Have not even seen the 2006 schedule yet. Don't even know what day the team is reporting to camp.

Do not know how the offense is going to respond to a new offensive coordinator.

Have not restructured one single contract to eliminate that 20 million dollar cap deficit.

And you guys can predict an 11-5 or 12-4 or even 13-3 season with all of those unknowns?

Like I said amazing!

Hey I have some beach front property in Death Valley I will sell you too.

I guess you don't understand what team message boards are all about.

Let me clue you in, we like to talk about the Washington Redskins here. That includes outrageous predictions, homerist takes on our players and coaches, and overall a basic feeling that we are the best team in the NFL regardless of record.

Another clue, the offseason is full of speculation simply because that's all we have to go on right now. That's what's fun about the offseason, the possibilities are endless.

But if you prefer some cold, hard reality, let's revisit the Skins ownership of the Cowboys this season.

Enjoy!

Re: Scouting Next Season's Opponents

In addition to that, you might want to educate yourself on the team that you criticize. We have two FAs that make a difference that we most likely will resign. Good news is about the Skins during their winning streak is that they WON the games they were supposed to win. The confidence is back and they will continue to carry that into next year. The Redskins were only one or two players away from being serious contenders. The only question mark is possibly QB after next year. The Cowboys are going to have a huge turnover on offense the next year or two. Offensive line is aging, QB is aging and Keyshawn is aging. Julius Jones is not living up to the hype. You have a good prospect in Barber, and I believe he'll be good for years to come. Glenn isn't a spring chicken either.

Everyone is 16-0 in the offseason, don't you know that??!?!?

sandtrap, you do realize that you're trolling right? you have nothing to say about the subject at hand so you just start insulting people instead...

If you don't like the thread, no one is forcing you to read it, and if you rather talk about the roids or what have you, there are other boards where you can do that to your hearts desire.

Re: Scouting Next Season's Opponents

I like the Skins at 11-5 next year, with a bye in the first round this time!

Not to jump on sandtrap or anything, but I think the Cowboys are in trouble next year. I just don't think Bledsoe is or will be the answer for them, and they don't have a QB for the future. Furthermore, I can see Parcels just exploding on this team around mid-season if they are playing up to expectations.

Yeah, I know that sounds kinda in-depth and all, but what the hell are off-seasons for?

Re: Scouting Next Season's Opponents

I just realized the Redskins longest road trip is to Houston. Nothing on the West Coast whatsoever. We head to Houston, New Orleans, St. Louis, Tampa, and Indy. And of course Dallas, NY, and Philly.

As road schedules go, that's pretty sweet. Jet lag should not be underestimated as a factor in these road games, and it's nice to know we're not headed too far away next season.

At least 3 of the 5 away games we should be fairly competitive in.

Just to be dick, since you corrected Malcolm. Tampa can't join our division again cause they weren't in it in the first place...lol
