Looking at all 4 teams even the winning ones were in meltdown mode as the season ended.

Philly - fired OC and DC, and brought in Kellen Moore as the OC, and Vic Fangio as their DC, either one of whom could be put in as interim HC if their late-season struggles continue into the start of next season. Plus they are losing several mainstay players due to age.
per overthecap.com: Effective Cap Space: 16.2M(rank #16) players under contract 2024: 62 draft picks:9

Dallas - Lost 3 defensive coaches and brought in Zimmer as DC. Pollard, Tyron Smith likely leaves in FA. Gillmore is a FA too, and I don't think it's a stretch for him to follow Quinn/Whitt to DC
Effective Cap Space: -22.8M(#27) players under contract:60 draft picks:7

NYG - If Washington was it's usual epitome of dysfunction last season, the Giants took it to a whole new level with rumors of the DC creating his own fiefdom, and the HC going ballistic randomly. They also fired their DC and brought in the Titans DC to replace him. They have 26 free agents (from spotrac.com) including Adoree Jackson and Saquon Barkley. And $47M tied up on a questionable QB.
Effective Cap Space: 14.0M(#18) players under contract:54 draft picks:7

Washington - Fired entire Dan Snyder era shell, and brought in new GM, HC and entire football staff.
Effective Cap Space: 62.6M(#1) players under contract:50 draft picks:9
Cap space is around 24 million and will increase , not great but can be worked with.

Re: NFC East Off-Season Recalibration

We better sign or draft a CB during the first three rounds because BSJ and Forbes are huuuuuge question marks.

I had high hopes for St Juste. He's just been alright, and consistently that way since he's been here. I would cut bait. Use that $1.3 mil elsewhere.

I think you do make an effort to bring back Fuller though. Fuller, Forbes, and a FA CB - then draft one in the middle rounds.

I wouldn’t pay Fuller at his age. He played great this season in a contract year and overall he is a solid player, but he’s gonna be looking for that final big deal.

He just turned 29, 4.5 years younger than Stephon Gilmore. I think he has a few more years in him for sure. He just may get that pay day here... I'd sign him to a 2-3 year deal.

I'm with you, Fuller is really the only legitimate CB they have on the roster.

NFC East Off-Season Recalibration

I think BSJ has regressed pretty bad. Obviously you can point to coaching, or lack there of but I agree. Cut bait and yeah bring back Fuller. Idc if they get another solid corner through FA or the early rounds but it is a definite need.

I think getting a true #1 CB and letting us push the rest of the depth down 1 spot would do wonders.

Re: NFC East Off-Season Recalibration

Fuller is definitely worth a nice, reasonable contract. If it's like 3 years and 40 million, thanks for your time here, and best of luck on your future endeavors.

This is exactly what I’m saying to Fuller when I tell him we are moving on from him.

3 years / $42 million is what Spotrac projects his market value to be.

It's going to be interesting having so much cap space. I don't necessarily want to give out tons of huge contracts (I mean bigger than this), but you're also not maximizing your roster if you don't use most of your cap space. It's an interesting (and way better than any alternative) position to see how it plays out.

So we're rolling with St Juste, Forbes, Holmes, & Castro-Fields...and hoping we get a starter in the draft?

Not a lot of impressive names in free agency at the CB position.

I’m not giving up on Forbes and think he plays much better under new staff. St Juste, another young guy I’m gonna let the new staff get their hands on, he’s young, cheap and experienced.

I’d add a vet CB for sure, but I’m gonna let Quinn/Whitt choose their guy. Maybe a guy experienced in their system who can be another coach on the field.

Also, why not add another CB in the draft? Go get “their” guys.

Re: NFC East Off-Season Recalibration

I think they will likely draft a CB, but can't see it happening before round 4, maybe later. Too many other holes - but it will all depend on what they do with Fuller and in FA.
