Aburey Huff a bum? He led the AL in extra base hits last year, hit .304 with 32 homers and 108 RBIs, and is on pace for a similar season so far this year. Pretty damn far from being a bum. As for Huff from the Raiders, I say let Moore and Horton develop, and we've got Landry.

Re: Horton hears a Huff?

Huff ?? How about let's focus on #48 Hornton .. this guy was a steal in the 7th round and will be a hell of a deal for at least the next 2 years before contract demands begin to ship up .. everytime I think of this Defense I must be drinking some skins' kool aid cause I'm just loving this team .. SACKS BANAZA !!

Re: Horton hears a Huff?

Safety is IMO our deepest position. It will be a real camp battle & the staff will need to make a major decision about Landry, play him at SS & Moore at FS? Or Horton/Reed at SS, LL at FS? Kareem Moore really looked good late last year & I expect him to pick his game up a lot this summer.

That said, I was surprised Huff has had such a tough time in Oak. I watched him in a no. of games at Tex. & I thought he looked great. He was all over the field in coverage & v. the run. I saw him block a FG in one game. I thought he'd be a good pro.

We just don't need any competition at safey, it's one position we are set at barring injuries.

If Huff played DE... or WSB... nevermind, it's been said too many times.

Re: Horton hears a Huff?

I thought this thread was going to be about Horton hearing voices from Sam Huff.

Re: Horton hears a Huff?

If Raiders release him, then I would not mind trying to sign him to a year contract.. He looked pretty good coming out from college, I'm not sure whether if his poor performance is due to himself or the defense system itself.. Look at our Hall as an example..

We had our chance to get Thomas Howard but we decided to choose McIntosh instead...I was scratching my head then, and I'm scratching my head now

Re: Horton hears a Huff?

No Huff, Horton and Moore are plenty good, and then we'd have to cut Doughty. I'd rather have Doughty ride the bench than Huff.

Huff is playing no where as good as he was last year at this time, heck i don't think any of the Orioles are and that's not saying much. Huff is swinging at too many first pitches during his at bats that result in outfield pop-ups.
