I know we're going to draft a few o-lineman and sign some FA's, but who says that they're going to work out?
The only guy on our team that should be sniffing starting on opening day next year in Dock...and he's only average.

Samuels is done
Rabach is awful...AWFUL
Thomas is done
RT...we haven't had a decent RT since when? Maybe '06. Jansen was a shell for years.

Williams and Jones might be decent backups but ultimately if either is in the mix to start next year we're in trouble again.

Re: Redskins Free Agents not named Jason Discussion

Carlos Rogers - RFA, Keep (try to trade him)
Casey Rabach - Gone
Byron Westbrook - Gone
Rocky McIntosh - Keep
Todd Yoder - Gone
Hunter Smith - Keep
Randy Thomas - Gone, Retire
Stephon Heyer - Keep, backup depth
Lorenzo Alexander - Keep
Phillip Daniels - Gone
Kedric Golston - Keep
Anthony Montgomery - Keep (look to trade him)
Renaldo Wynn - Gone, Retire
Will Montgomery - Gone, thankfully
Chris Wilson - Keep
Reed Doughty - Keep
Matt Sinclair - meh, Gone
Richard Bartel - meh, Gone
Marcus Mason - Gone
Quinton Ganther - Keep
Levi Jones - Gone
Mike Williams - Gone

I believe, (looking at the Texans since Kyle Shanahan will be our OC and Alex Gibbs may be our OL coach) that the OL will be completely overhauled with more athletic, quicker lineman. Probably none over 315. We will likely run a true Zone Blocking scheme with a lot of cutting by the OL.

I agree with you, but the reality is we need 9-10 o-lineman on the opening day roster. Dockery and Rinehart fill two spots. I can't see us bringing in more than 4-5 lineman through the draft/fa and assuming they all make the team brings us to 6-7 spots. Who fills the other 2-3? We're going to need to keep at least 2-3 of our current o-lineman not named Dockery and Rinehart.

Re: Redskins Free Agents not named Jason Discussion

Carlos Rogers: Tender at 1st round; Decide what defensive system we are going to play - keep or trade based on that.

Casey Rabach - Bye
Byron Westbrook - Bye
Rocky McIntosh - Tender at 2nd round. Keep
Todd Yoder - Not necessary, but if we are going to keep 3 TE's fine. Again, let's get a decision on what kind of offense we are going to run.
Hunter Smith - Keep, he's the best offensive weapon we've got.
Randy Thomas - Bye
Stephon Heyer - Bye
Lorenzo Alexander - Keep. (Can we get a team of Lorenzo's?)
Phillip Daniels - Bye
Kedric Golston - Keep (See Lorenzo comment)
Anthony Montgomery - Bye
Renaldo Wynn - Bye
Will Montgomery - Bye
Chris Wilson - Keep; play at SLB, move Rak to the line full time
Reed Doughty - Keep
Matt Sinclair - Bye
Richard Bartel - Bye (who?)
Marcus Mason - Bye
Quinton Ganthel - Keep at minimal price
Levi Jones - Keep
Mike Williams - Bye

I agree with most of this; although I would like to try retain Levi Jones as RT, but not guaranteed starter though.. Have a rookie and Jones (and FA?) compete for #1 spot.. And that is if Jones accepts the role..

I actually like this idea; we could use the pick to draft new CB or FS if there is good one available?

I think Albright might also be a free agent, keep him for another year
I don't feel like typing all those names but I'll concur with your list. Ethan Albright has been negotiating his one year deals for the longest. If he's still wanted look for him to return.

Nobody is going to give us a 1st rounder for Carlos Rogers.

Re: Redskins Free Agents not named Jason Discussion

Pretty sure we can trade him for less than a first round regardless of our tender offer to him.

More than likely no one gives a first for him. Probably be lucky to get a 2nd. No harm in asking though.
