85 washed up in New England because he didn't learn the playbook. Didn't learn where to line up. Didn't learn how to run the routes. Didn't learn proper timing. That's why Brady didn't find him when he was open - Brady had no reason to trust him.

We don't need that attitude/performance on our team.

No, I would sign Chad Johnson, not Ochocinco. The Patriots are becoming the last stop for every has-been, like we used to be. The difference is they dont pay them like we did.

No No No. And if you've watched football in the last 4 years you would know that he would be maybe 5th in talent on our team at that position, maybe.

I think OchoCinco is awesome, on and of the field. But he's less awesome now than a couple of years ago on the field.

But anyhow, no I don't want him here. For where are we are and where we're going I'm not sure why we would get upset over losing Gaffney and want Ocho, but not want to give Hankerson an opportunity or grow with RGIII, Morgan, and Garcon.

I'm happy to see that most on the board aren't in favor of signing him or other old vets like him. As recently as 3 years ago, signing a big name 15 year vet would draw much more debate. I agree w/those that say, develop the young guys!

Re: Signing Ochocinco: Te gusta?

Given how Shanahan likes to have 30 WRs at camp, it wouldn't surprise me if we picked him up. Personally I don't think it would be the worst thing in the world if we did pick him up, because I would just see him as a camp body.

As someone said before, Ocho is a pretty dedicated guy to football and his antics are nowadays more funny than annoying. In terms of football, he's just past his prime and would be just another camp body anywhere he lands. He's not going to be taking away any reps or opportunities from anyone, unless he miraculously returns to his old form.

He showed up to OTA and immediately lined up in the wrong place and Branch had to tell him where he should be on the field. The knock on his stint in New England was he never took the time to learn the playbook...so i dont know how you could surmise he is dedicated to football. He clearly enjoys reality tv and being in the media spotlight...we have no use for a guy like this on our team at this point.

Re: Signing Ochocinco: Te gusta?

Let's see, a 34 year old WR with his best days clearly behind him, coming off a horrible year in which he couldn't learn the offense and get on the same page with one of the best QBs of all time.

I'm failing to see where this makes any sort of sense.

I vote si, amigos, a proven veteran WR es muy bien
If he was as good as that statement indicates, he would have never been released.

If by saying this you mean he would be a lock at #2 on the Redskins, that is not saying much for the WR corps at all.

85 will work again, somewhere. But at a shadow of what he used to be.

I said that if he's picked up, he'd be just a camp body...and honestly that's what he'd be anywhere else in the NFL. While I don't think he's as good as The Goat made him out to be, I just said that it wouldn't surprise me if he ended up here as a camp body, since we seem to bring a ton of WRs.

However, he might go the way of TO and not get picked up at all, so no reason for people to get their panties in a bunch.

If it was up to The Goat, are starting WRs would be Gaffney and Ochocinco and Santana in the slot. Pierre Garcon would be playing in Canada.
