Well as the Easterly winds blew it by apparently a tropical storm off the coast has blown it back Westerly.

I wonder how much of this is Weis trying to up his ante?

He didnt do good in pseudo-amateur football but from what I remember he didnt do bad coaching pro ball.

Spurrier had a Natl Championship and plenty of bowl wins but couldnt do squat in the pros. The pro & college game are very different and success of lack of success in one or the other doesnt mean anything.

No problem. If Cleveland were to take Clausen, then Snyderatto could simply trade our No. 1 pick to the Browns for Brady Quinn.

Didn't want to start a new thread on this, but we could be close to losing Scott Wachenheim to a head coaching job in college. He's a leading candidate in a couple of places

yeah its on Redskins Insider. I think pretty much everyone on the offensive coaching staff knows they'll become unemployed in the near future.

Just realized I didn't write Wachenheim and Stump. Meant to say both of them. But yes, they are both candidates in multiple places. Apparently, Wach is closer to a head coaching gig

Re: Thoughts on Charlie Weis

Like many Notre Dame fans, I was thrilled when Weis went to South Bend and allowed myself the delusion of thinking he would bring them back into the hunt for a national championship. Like many Notre Dame fans I was disappointed with the results of his tenure there and just as thrilled to see him kicked to the curb. He was a disaster as a head coach. He was an excellent coordinator in the NFL though and probably will be again. If it is here, so be it. I just don't want him to be the head coach, or I may to start rooting for my second favorite team, the Ottowa Rough Riders.

Good luck to anyone trying to win in Notre Dame. They simply can't compete with the football powers.

Re: Thoughts on Charlie Weis

Poor bastard must be desperate for a job and his agent is working overtime spreading rumors that links him to the Skins. That's usually something you do for players but for coaches? That ain't right.
