He was 2-0 against them last year with Grossman. Wouldn't that be better for job security than winning when the team is actually good?

If we win this one, I would go out on the limb to say we beat Pittsburgh AND Carolina to go into the bye 6-3. That's how significant I believe a win would be.

Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions

I don't see the NY Midgets winning this game. The Redskins already have the blue print on how to play against Eli Manning. I know the defense has been below average this year, but they are familiar with Manning. All they have to do is duplicate the things they did against the Giants- I mean the Midgets offense last year.

Offensively, the Redskins need to run Alfred Morris. That zone blocking scheme of Shanahan's needs to be effective. The Redskins should be able to take shots downfield to Morgan, Briscoe, or Hankerson. Fred Davis has been known to expose and exploit the Midgets secondary like he did in the 1st game last year and get open underneath.

Midgets 21

Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions

I believe Alfred Morris is going to have his best game of the season, and that opens up some big plays with RG3s arm. Eli throws a couple picks and gets sacked 4 times, and we get a ST touchdown.

Redskins - 33

Giants - 28

write it down

If NY plays the way they did last week then we have 0 chance. They have the ability to dominate and we don't. I think they win this one.... Giants 34 Skins 20.

Maybe but those games really meant nothing for us, THIS GAME is HUGE! I can't wait to watch

Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions

people keep talking about last year and i have no idea why. bottom line is they won the SB and we had a losing record. yeah we beat them but that has nothing to do with this year.

Well, I agree to an extent. BUT (which really means you should ignore my agreement)

Our team was considerably worse on offense, yet Kyle was able to draw up schemes which took advantage and put us in a position to win, and did it with a qb who was fairly one dimensional, and this OLine. We have apparently added a qb that has more than one dimension in a game, and kept our running game solid. So, we conceivably should do as well or better on offense.

Our defense was able to hold the Giants in check, and again, they have not really done much to upgrade, they simply are playing at a high level. It is reasonable to look at last year, and say that we seem to know how to scheme the defense to stop them, so it comes down to execution.

Ultimately, this is a new year, but I would say that knowing we beat them 2 times last year at the least keeps our team from thinking they are invincible (like when they beat us several years in a row), and with the new found belief that Griffin can bring us back or put us in a position to win any game, our team will be able to play with a full cup of confidence. That's what last year's games do.

(and besides Grossman can tell Griffin all week the secrets to beating them)

Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions

I think we should make Cousins inactive and have Grossman on hand as the backup. He seems to have the Giants' number. I'm being completely serious.

Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions

Since weve won games Ive predicted us to lose and lost when Id thought we win Im gonna stick with the trend and say we lose.
Giants probably underestimated us last yr with Grossman{or as I heard Mortensen call him,RG3 and out}
Giants are playing at high level and are at home. They will not take us lightly this game
