Again just my opinion. Seems like alot of people have a higher opinion of cousins than me. Which has little to do with today - tough spot for your first action - i havent been fond of his skills since his college days. Personally i had no problem what so ever with rex as a backup.

I see where you're coming from. Cousins is risky in regards to what we'll get for him down the road. But only time will tell I suppose.

Re: Falcons at Redskins Post Game Thoughts

Lack of 3rd down conversions are a HUGE issue and it think it has been masked by the gaudy offensive yards number the team has been putting up.

With our mediocre (at most times) defense, we can't be having such a huge deficiency on the offense.

Re: Falcons at Redskins Post Game Thoughts

he lost yardage when he could have thrown it away. only one of a handful of bad plays, he's forgiven.

kerrigan is an animal.

still only one game back...

I don't think you can make that assumption. RG3 was leading the Skins down the field before he got injured. And there was still at that point, an entire quarter of football to play. We know what RG3 can do with less than 2 minutes.

I think had he not gotten injured, we had a real shot at minimum, overtime, if not a close win.

Anyway backup schmakup.
Thoughts are this
1) please let rg3 be ok and please let him NEVER do that again. For god sakes run out of bounds and live to fight another day. He would have put the team on his back at the end and won this game!
2) our offense and our defense havent played a good game simultaneously since the 1990's.
3)cundiff has to be let go now and bring back gano or rackers. Idc.
4) morris looks great again

^you can be sure everyone is impressing on RG3 how important it is to go out of bounds in those situations. I think he's smart enough to listen after that bell ringer.

Agree we all talk about this being a learning year for RG. This was a tough lesson that hopefully he will get something out of.

I just like the fact the team is competing each week. I mos def feel the best about this team since Gibbs 2.0.

5. Thought the Oline played maybe their best game
6. Banks had some good returns
7. Haslett brought a decent game plan, Kudos to the defense. Matty Ice had to throw the ball a ton to get those yards.

Negatives:
1. Been several times where RG3 should have thrown the ball away and takes a vicious hit. Well it caught up with him today, hopefully he has learned.
2. Garcon just had a couple miserable drops.
3. Billy Cundiff.
4. 3rd down conversions and Red Zone offense not good today. 3rd down is officailly a huge problem.
5. Didnt get enough pressure on the Ryan on 3rd downs. Orakpo absence hurts us the most in 3rd down.

Cant hang the head, just gotta realize the mistakes, learn and comeback ready to play next week. I think more positives than negatives
You hit it all. Especially the bold part, I think that's where it really hurt the team. Matt held onto the ball for little while on some plays and then made the chain move and yet we could almost not get to him at all. Perhaps we need to try other players beside Jackson on the pass rushing situations.

I have to agree with Tevor Matich on Comcast; the kid touched the hot stove and got his hand burned, but hopefully he's going to have learned his lesson.

RGIII is vital to this team. The shot he took today was all on him. He's great kid with a bright future. I'm glad he got this lesson out of the way early.

Kirk played better than RGIII today.
1TD and 2 int's = a 97 qb rating?
