Its unfathomable. Its a shame the shooter had such a quick and easy death. The man should have been caught and tortured.

I am really sad and angry at the same time.

I am trying really hard not to make this political and neither should anyone else.

At some point the finger has to be pointed at the people who are here to protect us. How could this happen? I know the details are not out yet but I just don't get how this happens.

Nothing political about it. How as a society are we letting monsters like this breed and grow.

There is probably no answer; it is just awful.

I just volunteered in my son's pre-k class today. To imagine someone walking in there just blows my mind.

I try to volunteer with underprivileged elementary school kids every year. Today I happened to spend my morning with 22 kindergarteners. After walking out of that classroom and hearing this on the radio I am completely lost as to how a person could be humanly capable of doing what just happened.

Thoughts & prayers for all involved.

Oh yeah. IT is a hellish ripple effect he stole more lives then just the body count. When is the next time a kid from that class would step into a classroom?

Exactly it hits home hard to us that are with children this age. My son is nearly 5. It is just so painful to think their are monsters out their that want to kill him.

Re: School Shooting In Connecticut

This is horrible and tragic. I can't imagine anyone, anyone at all, who would be heartless enough to take the lives of children like this. This is pure evil, plain and simple. My heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to the victims and their families. I hope in the face of this massacre, they find some comfort and peace to help them through this. Though, it won't be easy.

I would please just caution people on starting political arguments about gun laws and understand that the real issues are much deeper than guns. I believe every state needs to look at their mental healthcare programs, as we know nobody who would do such a thing is in his or her right mind.

So you think authorities should have put armed police in every elementary school? You can't prevent stuff like this from happening otherwise
