Re: Fantasy football advice

I might as well jump on the bandwagon. My money league has 10 teams and we start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, K, DEF. I had the #2 pick and I think I might actually be close to winning some money back this year.

QB: Carson Palmer
RB: Steven Jackson
RB: Thomas Jones
WR: Javon Walker
WR: Andre Johnson
WR: Darrell Jackson
TE: Todd Heap
K: Jason Hanson
DEF: Denver
BN: Phillip Rivers
BN: Ladell Betts
BN: Santonio Holmes
BN: Joe Horn
BN: Dwayne Bowe
BN: Greg Olsen

I'm really thin at RB and that has me a bit worried. At the same time, I have 2 good QBs and I know some other people are weak there, so I have some good trade bait.
I feel good at WR. I don't need 3 back ups there, but I figure that I can drop one for whatever reason and not have to worry about it.
The only thing that's going to really suck is that a ton of my guys have a bye during week 6, so I might have to bite the bullet and not start a guy at one of the positions.

Any thoughts?

Re: Fantasy football advice

I would consider trying to trade away Eli Manning maybe for someone better. Maybe another receiver. Alge Crumpler won't be as much of a factor in that Atlanta offense as he has been in recent years, still a decent pick though.

bowe and olsen are wasted space, and you dont need a 2nd DEF unless you're just using it as a keep-away. starters are good, depth could be better.

you're bench is a bit boom or bust, especially for an 8man, and that could hurt in during bye weeks. starters are solid.

What do you think? I was nervous to start portis considering I'm not sure how much he and betts will split time. I was also think of starting suisham but I really don;t want to rely on our kicking game when we should be scoring TDS.

Re: Fantasy football advice

you don't need two kickers and probably don't need 2 dst's. that could be two more wrs/rbs.

you're rbs are killer, even for an 8man, and your wrs are good too. you dont need 3 qbs or tes though. even grabbing wrs or rbs you cant use to keep them away from others is better than having soo much wasted space (can cut 1 qb, 2 tes, 1 dst, 1 k). i mean, you've got freaking antonio gates.
