Relax guys, we win this every year.
And we all know how reports of a good minicamp translate into success! I mean looking at years past..... Well, I hope RG3 shines, though considering how bad Newton looked before the regular season, I wouldn't hit the panic button for anything less than injury. :cool-smil |

Always remember. The standard of play in the preseason for "on-track" teams is not very high.

Re: Redskins Minicamp (June 11-June 14)
I was watching NFLN's Top 10 Team Turnarounds with the Rams going from 4-12 to 12-4 (and Champs), the Patriots going 5-11 to 10 or 11 wins and the SB and the Saints of 06 going from 3-13 to 10-6. What did all those teams have in common? A major QB change. I'm reading all my NFL magazines and they all say that our weaknesses next year are
OL DB's RG3s progress as a rookie QB I really feel like the first and last ones won't be a problem if RG3's playing great and defenses are blitzing less/ RG3's ability to run out of the pocket. Its DB's that are going to be the problem. I'll say this, if Reed Doughty is starting at safety we are in bad shape, and it will be a problem. If our DB's are clicking though and grasping the defense well, we could be a great surprise team and team turnaround.

Re: Redskins Minicamp (June 11-June 14)
i'm pretty confident we'll see coverage issues this year. landry to meriwether (sp?) is a toss up, but the other spot is meh and the corners weren't awe-inspiring last year, to say the least.
however, our QB play was sooo bad that the defensive issues might have been a bit overblown. |

Re: Redskins Minicamp (June 11-June 14)
I hope Jonathan Crompton makes a solid case for himself in mini camp and in training camp. No one is talking about him. He's the practice squad QB after all.

Are all mini-camp practices open to the press?

DeAngelo Hall on what he learned from Shannon Sharpe - DC Sports Bog - The Washington Post
"You have to do things that other people either won’t do or they can’t do. You have to approach practice as if it’s a game." “And that’s something that I have a hard time doing sometimes. I kind of like to kind of coast in practice, make it look at easy as possible, try to save it all for the game. But Shannon made the point that if you’re going so hard in practice that you feel like you’re playing in a game, then by the time you get to the game, everything’s easy." oh boy...Classic D Hall
