trying to clear room for bobby taylor is a huge mistake. he is old and will cost way to much. why not go after a mid-level corner instead and draft the real taylor we need. we have two good corners and an alright nickleback so why spend all this money on another corner with this high of a paycheck and us the money to help our d-line out

How much is he asking? He's good but I hope they don't overpay again.

I thought Portis' agent was the same guy who is the agent of mcgahee and samuels and Ramsey shared a different agent but maybe I misread something. |

You are correct. Ramsey and Samuels have the same agent (Sexton) and Portis' agent is Drew Rosenhaus who represents the majority of the U of Miami guys. Regarding Bobby Taylor: He was the #2 man in Philly's backfield; Vincent was the #1 guy. Taylor can be spectacular and he can be awful - and sometimes he does that in the same game! He can't start ahead of Springs or Smoot but would be a solid nickel back so that the Skins could play man coverage against three WRs. If your nickel back is Bauman or Jimoh, you are pretty much committed to playing zone against three WRs - or you are taking a big chance of getting toasted.

I have read numerous times how Williams likes to use formations with as many as 5-6 DB's so this move makes sense. I do not think Snyder is behind it just because he's a "name", he's probably the best CB left in free agency right now. As long as they don't overpay too much, it's alright with me.

Bobby Taylor, but seemed to be making little headway in attempting to fill its need at the position. In fact, league sources indicated that Taylor is suddenly being wooed by the Washington Redskins, who were scrambling Monday to create cap room.
A DEVELOPING SKITUATION..!!! :thumb: This would be a great move :p Taylor has game..!!!

"Bauman is a solid zone coverage nickelback (he seems to have a pretty good nose for the ball)"
I saw R. Bauman get burned plenty THROUGHOUT the season. He sucks |

Big 63, I love those Zeppelin quotes, man. I'm a huge Led Zeppelin fan myself. On the old Warpath, we had a thread going in the "Parking Lot" forum about the top 5 albums you would want to have with you if you got stuck on a deserted island. My top 5 were Zeppelin's first 5 albums. I reckon yours would have been the same?
Sorry to go off-topic. I just had to show my appreciation for a fellow Skins/Zeppelin fan. "This is the mystery of the quotient: upon us all a little rain must fall" |
