Need a pass rush now, it was non-existent except for the KJ Henry sack and fumble that was bullshit penalty.

Bill Belichick must be feeling the end is nigh. On another note, Casey FN Toohill is about to show the world his dominance. The one tackle he had today will propel him to carry this once proud franchise back to prominence.

QB Sam Howell did well executing the game plan. He threw for over 300 yards, his third game this season

Mac Jones will not be starting in NE next year. He missed so many passes. Del Rio should have been sending a lot of pressure.

EB was better today but on the drive where Sam threw the pick, run the ball there dude.
He is still way too pass happy. Get in the I and run BR. You had 3 timeouts. smh..

Perfect team for Forbes to get some confidence. Hope he can continue to play like he did today.

Outside of the int Sam played great in spots. We gotta take the good w/ the bad. He threw some absolute dimes. We all gotta remember we are basically playing a rookie and w/ that comes rookie bs.

And give Ron some credit. He had one of our defenders fall down and play hurt so he could take a look at the incomplete pass.

That should be the standard from now on if there is a questionable catch by the opponent.

Yeah credit where it's due, that was a clutch move by staff and player.

I thought the player faked being hurt because Ron was not challenging the call on the field. He gave the guys time in the booth to get Ron to challenge the play.

Somebody from the staff might've given him that instruction - I just saw a case a week or two ago where some other coaching staff told a player to fake an injury. Don't recall the team but I'm sure it will be in the news when they get fined for doing it.

Either way it was the right call in that moment, that was a good challenge. Idk why they don't make those plays reviewable by the official - we shouldn't have to waste a challenge on a bad call.

While the D played pretty good, I thought the absence of Sweat & Young was noticeable. If it was a better QB than M Jones, it probably would have been a different outcome.

Sam was very good I thought. That INT was pretty bad, but that 24 yard run was pretty damn good. That's what you get with a rookie QB. I like that he has a short memory. He's able to flush his mistakes, move on and do good things.

Just the way I like my Sundays, a Washington win and a Dallas loss.

Forgot about that 24 yard run on 3rd and 23, that was clutch af. Howell's got that Heinicke moxey, just a way better arm.

Shoutout to Heinicke too, remember how Ron was gonna turn to him in the last game of the year last season? Howell owes Heinicke a 10% cut of his next contract lol.

Re: Commies takedown Pats postgame thread

I felt like the run game was actually given a chance today, and the team actually ran out of i-formation instead of just showing we could line up in it.

that roughing on the sack was pure garbage fire. I'd be confused too if I was KJ. What's he supposed to do, sit there and watch him throw it?

I like the fake injury to give Ron enough time to process challenging that play.

We beat the team we're supposed to beat. Feels better than throwing the eagles game (drops/refs/ron/eb).

The roughing call wasn't a bad call, its a stupid rule. What's a defender to do, Olympic level gymnastics mid tackle to avoid landing on a QB? And risk injury to himself in the process? The rule was added to stop defenders driving QBs into the ground deliberately, not simply making tackles.

I was watching on Redzone so I missed a lot, but from what I saw the pass rush was basic and all about collapsing the pocket, not freeing up defenders to get to the QB. No twists, stunts etc. JDR has 0 innovation.

Bad call and a bad rule.

He didn't drive him to the ground or land on him with his full weight. It was as clean as it gets.

These calls need to be reviewable or NY should buzz in and say pick that shit up.

This^

Washington should review all the sacks this year that align with this type of hit from behind and submit it to the NFL. I’m sure if this was TJ Watt, Bosa brothers, this would have Never been called.

Fucking insane call

Just found out that this is our first win against Pats since 2003 and the score in the 2003 game is 20-17 as well.
