Re: Poll: Biggest Redskins draft surprise
I was really surprised Orakpo was there at #13. I was really hoping he would slide but realistically I thought he would go top 10.

D.
We might as well put a white picked fence made out of dry rotted wood to protect Campbell. It's better than what we've got. |

Re: Poll: Biggest Redskins draft surprise
I'll be the optimist and go with A. I was shocked that Orakpo was still on the board at 13. Apparently the FO was also, given that they made the selection in about 30 seconds.

Re: Poll: Biggest Redskins draft surprise
Definitely A.
I didn't think Orakpo would be there at #13. He was my top pick, but didn't realistically think we'd get him. I was surprised we did not pick O-linemen, but Barnes was a steal we couldn't pass up. The team did get a good Center after the draft and possibly some tackle depth. Our line is solid WHEN healthy (except for Rabach), so it's really the depth we needed to focus on. We may have it if the two Terps make the team, along with Montgomery, Rinehardt, and Jansen (assuming Heyer starts over him). Is Geisinger gone?

Re: Poll: Biggest Redskins draft surprise
Well E is incorrect but we didn't give up any this year, so far.

I thought that was a little odd.

Re: Poll: Biggest Redskins draft surprise
I don't see that as being odd...it just looks like they were prepared and things fell their way.

Re: Poll: Biggest Redskins draft surprise
They probably already talked with teams about trades and didn't find anything that impressed them in moving. That and Cerrato mostly spoke about trade downs in the later rounds, didn't mention it too much in the mid rounds. If the guy we wanted was there and either 1) we didn't want to trade because we wanted the guy or 2) the offers weren't great.. then there's not much reason to waste time just sitting around.. sure people expect you to, but whatever.. we'd still have plenty of people bitching that we didn't pick their favorite mid to late rounder and about whoever we picked with the additional 5th or 6th that we got
