This is bullshit. There has to be an end to this crap. I'm glad to hear though that he's in stable condition. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

This brings up bad memories. I really hope he pulls through and makes a full recovery.

I hope he recovers. It's horrible for GW to go through this AGAIN, but for the Jags, they're lucky to have him on their staff. He can help guide the team and families through this.
THank YOU!

Don't be a hypocrite by arguing the point out of the other side of your mouth. As you said, there's no need for any of that stuff in this thread.

Back on topic, according to AP, the family requested privacy, which is why there have been no updates.
Jags' Collier shot, has life-threatening injuries - Yahoo! News

One other thing in that article is that I like that Del Rio is putting the media in place on this one:
Quote:
But Del Rio said he disagreed with anyone wanting to lump Collier's shooting in with some of the team's other recent troubles.

"He was out last night, enjoying himself, having a good time, being responsible," the coach said. "I take offense to people that insinuate and call that a lack of discipline or a lack of responsibility. There are no rules about being out on a Monday night before your day off the following day.

"Listen, a person got shot. The guy who shot the gun is the problem, not the guy who got shot. He's the victim. He was victimized. You ought to be able to go out and have a good time and go back home and not be worried about being killed or being put in the hospital with bullet holes.

"I take offense to people who are out there lumping together and trying to make this an issue of team discipline. This is a disciplined football team. This is a big blow, but let's not put the blame on the wrong person or the wrong situation. The person that pulled the trigger is the person that's wrong."

Let's keep it on topic and save the political talk for the correct time and place.

One other thing in that article is that I like that Del Rio is putting the media in place on this one:
Glad Jack Del Rio said something. This man didn't deserve this. Regardless of what time it is or what part of town he was in. No one deserves to get shot sitting in his own car. But this is the world we live in and being out late at night in a bad part of town greatly increases your chances of something bad happening. I hope the guy makes it through.

Eerily familiar and yes it is hard not to think of Sean. I just hope and pray for Collier's sake he is able to pull through. It is good that Greg is there, although I know he has to be feeling a sense of "not again." Hopefully the Redskins organization can be a support to the Jags during this time.

I really hope he pulls through. I don't care what side of town he was in or how late it was. Single guy with his buddy picks up some girls and they go their place. Who hasn't been sitting outside an easy girl's house waiting for her to come back? Not a smart move but it is a typical guy move.

I know I've been there a many times. I wonder if he was getting carjacked. It was reported he was driving an Escalade.

Re: Jaguars Reserve OT Collier Shot, Facing Life-Threatening Injuries

I hope he makes a full recovery, this is a very sad situation for the Jags. I'm glad Del Rio stood up for his player. I think the media is too quick to turn this into something criminal in part of the player.
