Ankle injury on Jansen, not sure if high or low.

Recovery from sprains is of course dependent upon the severity. With a grade 1 sprain, you're talking about stretching of the ligaments, and you can come back in two weeks, sometimes less.

With a grade 3 sprain, you're talking about some partial tearing of ligaments. This takes 6-8 weeks typically.

A grade 2 obviously would be somewhere in between.

I am personally thinking we'll miss Taylor for about the first four weeks of the regular season. That looked like a pretty bad one.

Man this sucks, so we're basically fielding the same team on defense against the Giants....our offense is also the same...and they're playing the same way as last year. ugh.

Your timetable is within reason.

However, I hope your way off with JT's recovery time, I hope the sprain is mild and he's a speed lightning recovery guy.

Even though the injury did look really bad and it could easily take him that long to get on the field, we will know more tomorrow.

A negative x-ray means absolutely nothing. Soft tissue is very hard to read without an MRI. If Taylor is not done for the year I call this game a huge success.

It would be just our f'ing luck if JT is out for a long while.

Hopefully it's one of those deals that looks much worse than it was. I know from experience that you can get your knee twisted up pretty bad and still be ok. I hope that's the case.

He was a savior long before Carsopn Palmer. I know he's been the A#1 surgeon in sports for over a decade.

I'll give JT mad props for the way he tried to gut his ass off the field. He didn't want any help though it was clear he needed it. Lots of guys probably would have been more prudent but you could see how pissed off he was. At least we know he cares.

You mean same as last year when we dominated the Giants twice?

C'mon, you're going to tell me we didn't own them most of the game?

It always sucks when you get beat - beat - up in football . 1 ) it is a veteran team , 2 ) it is preaseason , 3) I remmber week 3 < 94 > when the eagles went to SF and beat the 49ers < 43 - 3 > ,,,, the 49ers won the Super Bowl that year . Not saying we are a championship team , but I doubt we look like this week 1 . I still think we are 1 dominant OL - Men and 1 dominant DL Men from being a top 5 team . JC needs to stop missing open wr's deep .
