I also don't believe any of us older guys here were handing out free passes to Joe Gibbs...but maybe just displaying patience. Remember, we've waited just as long for a winning franchise here in D.C. as the youngins. Maybe some who didn't have the pleasure of watching the Redskins play under Gibbs the first time may accuse us of being nostalgic, but that's fine if you want to accuse us of such. I'm sure when Gibbs leds us back to being a great team again you'll be singing his praise along with the rest of us.

Well said, I think we older Skin fans are just giving Gibbs the benefit of the doubt, Gibbs was successful in football, goes into a new sport in NASCAR and is also successful. He's smart, and surrounds himself with good assistants (ie just look at the Williams hiring...Joe recruited the guy himself), Some people want INSTANT success.....it just takes time and like you said........patience..........especially when we have glaring holes in the offense........OT (Jansen injury), and we need an upgrade at center, guard, and now WR......maybe 2 WR....and the defense still needs a DE and re-sign Smoot, Pierce, Salavea...
