Re: Del Rio Fired
It won't change anything, but still totally worth doing. JDR was absolutely pathetic at his job. We can't get any worse, so try something else.
Kind of funny though, Rivera fires JDR, then in 5 weeks he will be fired too.

To the people wanting everybody fired, well you can't fire everybody because somebody has to still coach the team for the remaining games. This move simply lets the rest know their time is almost up and to be looking for jobs elsewhere. This includes the GM/Scouts/etc...

And my hunger is sated! At least for 2-3 weeks, then they will need to feed me a new GM.

Re: Del Rio Fired
Question is who replaces them, even just interim? Who on the staff can step up?

Re: Del Rio Fired
Sorry but how do you blame him after you trade two of your top Defensive players?

49 pass plays of 20 or more yards allowed this season. No interceptions in our last 6 games. No takeaways in our last 3 games. Last in points, somewhere near last in total yards. Somebody had to pay the price and he was first man up.

Re: Del Rio Fired
Either Rivera or ST coach will take over D duties. Would like to see coach Z or RK myself.

Re: Del Rio Fired
It doesn’t matter. This is the token firing everyone wanted. Whoever steps in could have us playing like the 85 Bears and the season is over. This should have been done weeks ago if it were to matter for this season. Either way it is on the checklist of things to get done.

Re: Del Rio Fired
This means at a minimum, we will have a new DC next year. Definitely a checklist item.
