It's gonna be an interesting couple of days across the NFL.
This is about what I'm thinking...I'd like to see Kelly fall into our lap at #21.

I think no matter what the Eagles QB situation is going to be garbage. They're going to have to live off defense alone. As long as they take Wentz, I think they'll be shit for years to come. I read somewhere they only have a couple picks left in the draft now.

The Eagles still have seven picks this draft: A first, a third, two fifths, a sixth, and two sevenths.

So they only have two premium picks (1st & 3rd) but they get to take their shots at the back end of a loaded draft.

That assumes they are good at drafting talent in the back end of the draft. Hopefully that is amongst their many weaknesses.

Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round

Cook? If he is chosen in the first round, it's because of his position not b/c he is the BPA.

If he or Lynch is available at 21, I can see SM squeezing picks out of one of the QB desperate teams and wish them well while he loads up on the guys who fall because teams over pay for QB's.

Seriously, doe anyone think Goff or Wentz are the best players in the draft - guys who can come in, start and possibly star from day 1? Nope ... but, because of their position, San Diego gets a shot at the real No. 1 college player.

Very simply, the more QB's go before 21, the better for us. Either (1) we get a guy who has fallen not because of question marks but b/c other teams over value college QB's; (2) we trade out and get multiple picks b/c some non-QB who should've been drafted earlier falls to us and teams start bidding for him; or (3) the last QB who can throw more than 10 yards is on the board when we draft.

Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round

Remember not so long ago when we didn't even tune in for the first round. Forgetting the Griff trade, but Vinny always trading it away. Its so nice to be relevant again. HTTR. I really want someone who gets after the qb tonight. But a run stuffer would be great too. I do like Karl Joseph too.

Re: 2016 NFL Draft 1st Round

Just thought about this: I'd love Kelly, but unless he's a once-in-a-lifetime center prospect, shouldn't we be in position next year to also draft the best (or next best) center available? Typically centers don't go in the first round, so even if we're picking in the teens next year, we could possibly even trade back and get the best one next year. I think we need an upgrade there, but the more I think about it, the more I want to wait.

That being said, if we pick Kelly, I won't be mad at it.

2016 NFL Draft 1st Round

Defense. Defense. Defense.
Thee best defensive player on the board. No trading down. We need an immediate injection of impact on that side of the ball.
