The whole commerical looked pretty damn sick to me, you weren't impressed??

With the new illegal contact rules speedy WRs were more sought than the slower posession WRs. How come so many CBs were taken so early? Why was Matt Jones the fourth WR drafted?
Mike Williams will fare just fine against todays #1 corners. If you play to his strengths--like Pete Carroll did--he is going to be a hell of a weapon. The new contact rules benefit receivers who can get off the ball well (not get bumped off within 5 yards--which the little WRs have to overcome) and those who can create their own space once downfield. Space can be created by a couple ways: by being a target in a zone defense, by running away from the DB in man to man, or by outboxing the DB in check coverage. Mike Williams will not get knocked off the ball with his frame, and can create space in a zone and on boxout plays. He might not be able to blow by people on the post--but isn't that why we have Moss and Patten? The bottom line is big or small if a receiver can create get off the line (by using his size or speed) and create space--then you've got a player--which Williams is.
I do think picking a CB was fine--but in this draft where the CB was deep--we had greater value picking Williams at 9 and a CB later.
Matt Jones has great combine numbers. And 5 career catches. That's all we can say about him at this point...

In my opinion Mike Williams will become a Marcus Robinson type player good for the occasional jump ball but never relizing the true potential. I wanted him at first when he fell to us but now that I rethought it I like Rodgers. Campbell I'm hoping we wind up in the Chargers situation, Ramsey blows up and Campbell sits there thus is my dream, hopefully soon to be a reality
