No, it's not when you consider the amount of criticism Gibbs gets here for the players he has acquired. ie Brunell, Portis, and now Campbell.

Not saying your one of them Chounsman and I'm not saying Gibbs shouldn't be criticized, but it does happen here.

I would not give up Joe Gibbs for anyone.

I would like to buy Vinny's bus ticket for him though...

We do need a GM but the speculation is Joe Gibbs would then go. That is the speculation part.

Re: JG or GM?

I guess I'm the lone dissenter, I worshipped the ground Gibbs walked on but I think he might be in over his head trying to do coaching and other duties. He most certainly can't keep track of what's going on with the cap and I believe that we need a true GM. That idiot Cerrato should go back to working NFL game day on ESPN. Gibbs most success came when he had 2 great GM's Bethard and Casserly and this should be the structure we have now. As a 6-10 team we do not have the luxury of a QB project that might pan out in the future. We had other pressing needs.

Gibbs, with one caveat: Another offseason like this one and I may be as committed to Gibbs as he is to Ramsey.

Re: JG or GM?

Who cares about the offseason? As long as we win during the season, that is all that counts.

Re: JG or GM?

I completly agree with you. Look at all the coaches who tried to be GM and a coach. They failed miserably. gibbs should concentrate on one thing whether it be coaching or GM. Seeing his draft his year especially Campbells selection makes me worry about him as a GM though. Look at Holmgreen, Shannahan and Marty who all tried to be GM n coach but did not succeed as much as they did when they were just coaching.
I have a scenario for u. What if Gibbs becomes a Gm and Greg Williams becomes a head coach. I could see that happening down the road. don't know whether it would be a great thing or not..

Re: JG or GM?

this has not been a bad offseason. we lost pierce and smoot , who cares, they were good players but every team loses good players. the skins have signed and drafted better players than were lost this offseason. the worst thing about this offseason is taylor and moss not being at the voluntary workouts and that is not gibbs fault. gibbs has been nothing but great for the skins . last years draft was good and so was this years.
