Re: Update on Haynesworth Tampering Charges

I could really care less how he comes off in an interview. For the record I think his interviews are fine for what it's worth. He just needs to tear it up on Sundays.

You have concerns based on interviews?

Personally every time I've seen him get asked about the money he reitarated the fact that his goal is to be the very best on the football field and he is ready to prove that.

Re: Update on Haynesworth Tampering Charges

Really...who was gonna rat?

Speck? He got his commission...no reason to piss a team off.
Haynesworth?...he seems to truly not like losing...he's not gonna put us in a bind.

That leaves who? Unless Speck and/or Haynesworth are walking around telling stories about how the deal got done in February then this was all a wild goose chase instigated by a sour grapes team who wouldn't pony up the cash to keep one of their best players.

Tampering is most often a difficult allegation to prove. Glad this can finally be dismissed.

I was talking about a few Skins fans that seemed to be reveling in the possibility of Snyder getting punished by the league for tampering.

Re: Update on Haynesworth Tampering Charges

im not reveling in the possibility of the DS gettin punished for tampering. i just think the no-tampering thing is a gentlemen's agreement that another owner/gm wont talk with a player or his agent before FA begins.

like its been said, tampering is hard to prove unless there is a leak or emails or something tangible. but that doesnt make it right.

the fact that the DS goes out to dinner with AH's agent before FA is a sign of disrespect to the other owners.

do any of you really think he was there to talk about kelly and didnt mention AH? really?

just b/c it cant be proven to a level to warrant a sanction doesnt mean it didnt happen and doesnt mean certain fans like myself will not be ahsamed and embarrased.

have you guys no pride? no honor? no respect for the other 31 teams and owners?

and dont tell me everyone does it, you'll sound like an 8 year old.

go skins!

im surprised im the only one who isnt ok with it.

You sound like a kindergarten teacher. We're talking about the NFL here. Billions of dollars at stake. You don't want to hear that everybody does it, fine I won't tell you that. Just keep believing that Snyder is the only owner ever to have dinner with an agent

Re: Update on Haynesworth Tampering Charges

name an owner who had dinner with a marquee FA before FA began this past offseason?
thats an honest question, i dont know the answer b/c i havent heard about anyone except the DS but there might have been others.

i know everyone does it to degrees. if the DS had kept it somewhat quiet instead of going out to dinner i wouldn't have as much of a problem with it but instead he does it in a flaunting manner.

can we agree that he most likely talked about AH? atleast alil?

can we agree that the DS could have done it in a less open and obvious way like all the other teams do?

im not upset by the actual tampering but by the way and fashion the DS did it. just came across as blatant and disrespectful.

difference of opinions. no biggie.

I think this is a bit ridiculous given that Bill Parcells signed Justin Smiley within the first 15 minutes of free agency back in 2008, yet no one made any noise about it. I personally think this is a worst situation than what Snyder may have done. That being said, given his high profile he should have been careful about it, but I think signing a free agent within the first minutes of free agency is more blatant than what Snyder did.

So he can only go out with agents durn FA because these agents represent players from different teams and any other time from what your saying would be in poor judgement.

So if he did it behind closed doors then it kind of OK but sense he went out to dinner in public its not OK. Maybe he went out in public because he was not trying to hide anything nor doing anything wrong. Its the person doing things behind closed doors I worry about.
