Toney is inconsistent, clearly from last night. Moore hasn't done a lot and was a pretty high draft pick last year. Rice was absent last night. James didn't do much after be acquired from the Giants.

Losing JuJu, Hardman, Tyreek Hill, etc. recently is a lot. He also lost both starting tackles. Just had too many drops last night. Think their offense will get better but already had serious doubts about a repeat for them. They really are due a season to come back down to Earth. But, I wouldn't put anything past Andy Reid and Mahomes.

Also lost their OC from last year or so I hear, though apparently he never called the plays anyway

I thought Goff played a great game last night - way beyond serviceable. I admit I was surprised but last night he played like somebody who can take the Lions a long way.

Lol yes that is true. Hopefully, that coordinator works out well for his new team.

Im stuck in the middle of these two opinions but lean slightly more towards serviceable. He made a couple (maybe 3?) throws in desperate situations that kept drives alive. They were so soft though. Reminded me of Taylor throws. Easily could have been picked because they were soft. He also sailed a few. He definitely looked like more of a hindrance than a help. Held the ball way too long a few times too. The Lions defense looked surprisingly good but when one of the best offensive players is out and Toney drops more easy balls than most wr’s drop in a season I guess the opposing D is going to look good.

other than all the high throws, especially to Jones . . . he needs to clean that up or it will cost them.

So I'm at the Ravens game today (got free tixs) and Morgan Moses is still committing stupid penalties.

The Niners defense is bad *ss. Totally shut down Pittsburgh and Pickett from ever making it a game. Niners looked really tough. Purdy is amazing.
