Re: Around the NFL - FA tampering/start
Aiyuk claims SF is done with him:
https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profoo...t-want-me-back He actually told this to our Jayden Daniels. I'd be lying if I wasn't interested but imagine we don't make a move. He's only 26 and is very good. |

Re: Around the NFL - FA tampering/start
I don't want to give up anything either and Peters covets draft picks (what a concept). However, Aiyuk is only 26, great numbers, great blocker and is close with Jayden. I'd at least make a call. Dotson must produce this year.

I personally prefer Higgins but yeah, we definitely should explore this idea to see if the cost is worth the price.

Definitely should have a look. But I continue to believe AP has a 2-year plan, and this move feels like jumping the gun on year 2. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don't see AP making this type of move neither

Re: Around the NFL - FA tampering/start
He's a great player. His contract will eat a ton of cap and we'll have to trade valuable draft assets which I think Peters wants to avoid. I'm not ready to give up on Dotson, but he needs a really good season to make a career here.

Re: Around the NFL - FA tampering/start
why give up things in a non-SB season for a player that could be signed in the offseason (if we even need a $30m/y WR). I'd be much more willing if he could play Left Tackle.

Re: Around the NFL - FA tampering/start
It would be wiser agree. I haven't heard anything suggesting Washington pursues Aiyuk now. Think we are still living in the Snyder era sometimes with impulsive and reckless moves. It's going to take awhile to get used to Peter's logic and discipline.

Re: Around the NFL - FA tampering/start
What we need most right now is a proven veteran LT. I don't know how we're going to get one but I think it must be done to protect our promising young QB. I would feel comfortable with Lucas as our starting RT but not with him as our starting LT. I'm nervous about Wylie as a starter but I'm hoping he is able to become a good backup in our new offense.

Re: Around the NFL - FA tampering/start
Our OL is a major concern. While I do believe we have competent coaching staff now and they will make up for it whilst gameplanning, it's still will be near the top of the needs list next year

Re: Around the NFL - FA tampering/start
I think we need to add a capable pass blocker at LT this year. JD must be protected. It may need to be done via trade.
