LOL even if this game was different than the previous 12, which doesn't sound like the case, this is still a nonsensical statement.

Do you honestly believe a QB can take this kind of abuse and play long term? I believe it was you talking up analysts etc earlier in the season...every analyst I've heard discuss RG3 at length says QBs can't get hit the way he gets hit.

What am I missing here?

If Snyder/FO expects RG3 to be our franchise QB for more than a few years we have run a traditional offense that protects the QB. It's that simple. RG3 will always be a running threat, but it can't be a main ingredient of the offense.
I thought we actually were more of a traditional offense today. If you want to save RG III get him a RT and another playmaker. He was running more because of oline break downs. He didn't run much except when he was trying to win the game and the oline broke down and the Ravens had the coverage.

Today wasn't a game in which they called 5 running plays for him. He ran when he had to. Honestly I thinks that's why when Cousins ran a draw on the 2 point conversion it worked. Tey hadn't seen anything like that all day, then bam hit up with it. Never mind that it was Cousins over RG.

Again I haven't seen it, but this sounds like a replay of the season up to this point. It's not a tenable situation.

So you're saying I'm off, but you haven't watch the fukcing game? #GTFOH You're the one who's off. I didn't guarantee that RG3 would play 10-15 more years, I merely suggested it. It was a reasonable one at that.

And given the context of the discussion: Playing RGIII in seven days and risk exaggerating a severe injury or resting him for a possible playoff run seems like a reasonable assessment on my part.

I'll let you play GM and head coach about what type of quarterback Robert will in 10 years.

A QB who can run and plays fearless like RG3 is going to take some hits. Fact of life. If you like the 76 yard TD runs you have to live with the scary hits too. As his career develops I doubt we'll see him running as much as he does now.

Watch the game and let's talk.

Almost all of RGIII's hits came b/c he was holding the ball too long or trying to make a play out of the pocket. He's always going to be fighting for extra yards, he just needs to be a little smarter about it. From what I could tell, it mostly was NOT the O-line's fault (of course the were not blameless but, for the most part, they gave him time.

You won't know that until next week. Depends on how much it hurts,swelling...etc..

Well then let's get him a better pass coverage OL and more threats at WR.

I think the play calling was great today on O, and some of those ol breakdowns were on the pistol shotgun play action passes. The ravens got great push on our guys all day. They are a solid group of pass rushers.

Good post, I'm already pumped to watch us win but this makes it more interesting.

When I said RG3 running is a main ingredient to the offense I didn't distinguish between pass blocking breakdowns and/or option reads/pistol/etc. The end result is the same...right? I don't care if he's running for his life based on play design or play break down, it's the same risk/results over the long haul.

He will not last 3 more years. As he gets older his body will not hold up. He is tough as nails but he has to start playing smarter if he is going to last.

Both Suggs and Orakpo would have had huge games today if they weren't injured. We got a pass rush goin again in the scone half as Has made adjustments.
