The first season was incredible but I was starting to get a little bored with the series, until this last season. I won't give anything away for those who still want to catch up, but WOW! I'm really looking forward to see what they do with the story in this new season.

I didn't really get a great chance to work through it. I wanted to be caught up, so I watched season 1-4 in about a 2 month period. I liked them all, but I would say that season 3 was a little slow.

I watched all 4 seasons in about two weeks. We have to repair laptops all summer long so I just played one episode after the other. CAn't for the new season.

Has anyone had a chance to watch Pillars of the Earth on Starz? I recommend it if you're into watching cool stuff that kicks ass.

re: What Shows Are You Watching?

At night my sisters kids have been watching shark week and thats the lastbthing I want to watch when on vacation at the beach. They did one show on a bunch of attackes along the coast in 2001 and they showed two that year around where we are staying. Yesterday I was surfing and all I could think of is the attacks they showed on surfers.

Just started watching Border Wars. That show is sick, I have my own views on illigal immigration but man oh man these people are really going through alot to get here. National Geographic is a pretty good channel to have as a fall back. Switched between the Border Wars Marathon and the Man vs Food Marathon for about 3 hours.

No is it good?

I was meaning to bump this thread for The Event, I thought it was pretty good.

Thought it was ok, nothing spectacular. But it's got Michael Chiklis and he's one of my favorites so I'll check it out for the time being.

Not sure I plan on watching The Event. Not too interested in committing to another Lost type show

Want to check out Blue Bloods, wanted to see LoneStar since it got such good reviews but it's already been cancelled

I watched it. I thought it was okay. For a TV show the special effects were pretty good and so far the cast seems pretty decent. Could be interesting for a season or two.

I'm also really enjoying Boardwalk Empire. It reminds me of Deadwood in terms of scope and range of characters. I like how they've sort of reversed roles in that Steve Buscemi is great as a likable bad guy whereas the federal agent Van Alden (can't think of the actor's name) is so creepy and intimidating.

Boardwalk Empire is pretty tight...also started watching the second season of Eastbound and Down, funniest show on TV, first season was a classic

Yeah, this show is rock solid. The agent (Michael Shannon) is perfectly cast- the dude is an extremely underrated actor... check him in Bug (which he performed on stage first) and Runaways.

I'm really digging "Raising Hope" right now. Rubicon is really interesting, but it's way too slow for most of my friends. Modern Family's and Community's season openers were riots. And I absolutely can't wait for Walking Dead. AMC owns.

Boardwalk Empire on HBO.
Not as great as Deadwood was but still a good show.

For comedy/incompetency I like to watch Whale Wars.
