Would you trade for Justin Smiley?

No. Every time the Redskins go to the bargaining table with Parcells, he finds a way to bend us over..

The common solution to the Landry dilemma, among fans, appears to be to push Horton and Doughty into backup roles while we play him at the non-premium strong safety position.

This would be taking the easy road out, I think, as we can scrap two of the players on the team we have the least investment in while trying to salvage a third. But to me, it's questionable whether Landry can even outplay either Horton or Doughty in the box.

So I say: he's physically gifted enough, let's keep him back there as a traditional coverage safety and just change the way he's supposed to be reading the offense. Whatever Blache/Gray/Jackson were doing, let's change it. If he can adapt and reach his potential, great. If not, I'd rather release him a year from now as opposed to try to work an extension with him as a strong safety.
exactly my thoughts

Well the way Vinny Cerrato negotiated, I could have robbed him blind too.

im happy with our guard situation for 2010. what we need are two starting offensive tackles and a young, promising center to groom

Only if they are interested in the players we are looking to trade. I would not trade a draft pick for him.

I would trade Carter, Pineapple Je5us, a 7th or a 6th for him.

Why would the Dolphins want Carter? They're a true 3-4 team.

I apologize I thought he had signed a 6 yr deal and last year was his sixth year.

I guess your right, 2 yrs of Zorn, 2 yrs playing under Gibbs, and 1 year sitting on the bench. Still it doesn't matter to me. He was allowed a year to get up to NFL speed and pick up good habits and 4 years to impliment them.

Some only want to give the WR's 3 yrs but give JC 6 yrs or more. No different then the WR's he either has it or doesn't. I'm ready to move on.

I thought we picked up a young talented Center last year? Williams? Whoever the guy we picked up from Maryland.
