Very nice article summarizing the whole search process. Pretty much corroborates what Keim has been saying all along the about the search process.

Dan Quinn said he met with Eric Bieniemy today and although he has great respect and a brotherhood with EB, they wouldn’t be coaching together here. In other words, EB won’t be back in DC. #NFL #httc

Re: Our New Head Coach - Dan Quinn

Quinns press conference, i know its just a press conference, is making me feel a bit better about the hire. Philosophy wise and intent wise he is saying all the right things. From team building and then creating a good on field product.... i am more comfortable with the hire.

Obviously will it translate onto the field will be the biggest telling point but -- first impression today is a good one for me. He seems like he has evolved and learned from his past experiences as a coaxh and an x's ans o's stand point.

seems like some great humility and willingness to keep evolving.

Again, step one, first impression, happiness and kool aid flowing but.... I'm impressed at first glance.

I feel like w/ both of those guys, a change of scenery may be what's best.

I know almost everyone wins the press conference, but hard not to be impressed w/ Quinn. He's no doubt a true leader and that's what going to be needed to turn this mess around.

And enough of Ben Johnson, so tired of that guy.

Agreed.

It was a bit hard for me, too, because yes its just the press conference but he did a great job and instilled some actual hope in my mind.

I think these guys are going to (at least at first) run through brick walls for Quinn. In his press conference, he specifically praised Payne and Allen without actually naming them and I am sure that they heard the call.

Let’s hope so. We can’t just jettison our first rounds picks like we’ve been doing and they’re both talented. Wish we still had Sweat.

"Almost everyone". Every new coach should watch Jim Tomsula 49er's introductory presser from years back right before they walk out.

Don’t disagree with this. He knew change was coming, and was getting paid…. Chose to pout and seemingly not give it his all.

I understand the root of his frustration but when you are not giving it your all (like Payne was) just stfu.

Patrick Queen? IF so, yes. Hard pass on Budda though. He is getting up there and the combination of age and injuries and he is nowhere near the player he used to be. And he was one of my favorite players!
