Yeah, Jason would have tucked the ball and started to run, he then would have been past the LOS and thrown the ball to a what looks to be open WR but gotten picked off by the other team making it an ultimate fail.

Young was wide open on that play. The fact that he passed that up to throw across the field to Davis shows me he has a lot of justifiable confidence. Great job by RG3!

Watch Darrel Young on that play. He was wide open right in front of RGIII but there were defenders in front of him who may have stopped him short of the first down...so Griffin found another receiver across the field who was past the marker. That's either some amazing vision and intelligence or we have a wild gunslinger and chance-taker on our hands.

I'm thinking it's the first one.

Simply a great play. He actually had Young open in the flat but didn't throw it. I bet the coaches were like...WTF is he doing??? I mean, great play Robert!"

With the way that RGIII threw the pass and with the way that Davis seemed to to be ready- something tells me that they've done this before in practice.

Yes, RGIII had a bunch of passes behind the line of scrimmage (7), but how about this state:

Quote:
On throws that traveled at least 10 yards past the line of scrimmage, Griffin went 8-of-10 for 240 yards, and that's not including a 32-yard defensive pass-interference penalty that converted a fourth-and-1.

8 of 10 on throws over 10 yards? Pssht. John Beck would have completed 11 of 10! Bring back Beck!

Yes. He would have completed all 11 for a total of 5 yards.

Re: Redskins at Saints Post Game Thoughts

Even taking out his one outlier (the 88 yarder to Garcon) he still averaged over 20 yards a toss on those balls - 7 of 9 for ~150 yards.

Remember those missed deep balls to Garcon in preseason? Anyone think he's going to be missing on them in a couple of weeks?

I had my chain and my hat on but everyone sitting next to me knew I bled Burgundy and Gold. It was just crazy and exciting game. Most of the Saints fans, including the shit talking ones, bailed with 5 min to go in the game but Skins fan stayed until the end and left on a really high note, a victory and a sense that RGIII is beyond what we expected.
