Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
SO, I decided to do some research on what we might get in return if we traded the #2 pick to Miami. I came up with #5, #18, and #56. Then I looked at PFF's Top 100 to see who might be available with those picks. I came up with LB Isaiah Simmons at #5, CB Trevon Diggs at #18, and WR Justin Jefferson at #56. Now, that is quite a haul! They can all play and Simmons is The Truth!
THEN, I put on a Chase Young highlight reel. OMG! Chase Young is from another football universe! As a football fan and a Redskins fan, I just couldn't trade away the opportunity to pick Chase Young. I MUST have him on the Skins. The young man is pure football excitement. NOW, I'm really worried that the Bengals will take Young with the #1 pick. |

If we got the Miami “kings ransom” trade, then Isaiah Simmons and the others would ease the pain of losing Chase Young. Isaiah Simmons had a great Combine and a smoking 40 speed. He could play LB or maybe even Safety (?) with shades of Sean Taylor. Cincinnati wants Burrows and I would be extremely surprised if they did not draft him. If they did draft Chase, then we WILL get the huge trade from Miami. Then we would get Simmons and the others. We would fill three positions of need with excellent draft picks! Still, I give it a 99.9% chance we will draft Chase Young. If we don’t, I’ll eat crow on this thread and site! Either way we win. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
Just saw a short clip of an interview with NFL analyst Charles Young where he said that any trade for the #2 pick (Tua) "starts" with three first round picks going to the Redskins. The rebuilding Redskins must consider trading out of the #2 spot if three first round picks and more is offered by another team. They might even be able to pry away an established player at a position of need in such a trade.
If Tua is cleared medically and has an impressive Pro Day, get some popcorn and fasten your seatbelt! At that point, drafting Chase Young will no longer be a "no-brainer". The decisions the Skins might have to make regarding this pick could become gut-wrenching. |

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
Heard this from JP Finlay last week: If the Skins were guaranteed they could select CB Jeff Okudah at no 5....with all those additional picks from the Lions...the Skins would strongly consider/do the deal.
Okudah has some fans in the building.

He's a stud and would be a great addition with the extra picks

I'm already tired of all the possible "scenarios".

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
I would like to see all the mock drafts graded after the fact. I wonder what the furthest anyone has gotten 100% correct? I bet even getting the top 10 correct is rare.

I think Sunnyside had posted something about the accuracy of some major mock players and how accurate they were. It is not very high.

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
Don’t care, want Chase. Address the holes through FA and draft, I’m thinking offer the Bucs a 4th or 5th rounder for OJ Howard or Dunbar for Howard.
